Perhaps that is good with some patients; with me I wanted to know more about exactly what the possibilities were for the diagnosis, implications for long term survivability, etc. The primary care taker seemed a bit mute in bringing up such issues.

He had been monitoring my condition for a number of years and I was kept extremely well informed. During that time I suffered a torn retina and the triage system used to get me diagnosed and treated was outstanding.

UofU Patient March 19, 2012It's always frustrating to go to a Dr. appt and see Interns, Fellows and 4 minutes with the actual Dr. you had an appointment to see. Although I admit the team did an amazing job, I was not overly happy with the interaction and care the Dr. gave. I felt like although I know I have problems he really wasn't interested in helping me understand them he just wanted me out the door and handed me another pill I am supposed to take. Dr.'s are busy I get that but so am I. Busy doesn't equate to a hit and run appt.
UofU Patient March 19, 2012I have been coming for about a year and every 3 or 4 months I have a follow up appointment to see how things are progressing. Each time since the first visit I have spent no less than 2 hours and as much as 3 hours and 25 minutes to be seen. I have found the wait to be excessive especially when it's a follow up appointment. I understand problems happen but I have wondered if patients are seen by appointment time and wondered why a follow up has to wait soooooo long to be seen when my actual time with the doctor is less than 30 minutes. I have worked in a doctors office so I do have a reasonable expectation of the time it should take to be seen.
