January 20, 2017

My diabetes was definitely going to interact with the injection given me, but it didn't seem like a very big deal.

December 17, 2016

November 28, 2016

she seemed like she was having a bad day, wasn't concerned about my well being.

November 13, 2016

Dr. Wang was very thorough in explaining my situation and very helpful in describing the continued healing procedure and time frame. I appreciated her care and explanations.

November 02, 2016

Dr Wang is my favorite.. no nonsense but with a wry sense of humor, easy to understand the problems

October 31, 2016

I have seen this doctor twice and both times she has dismissed my injuries as inconsequential and barely spent 5 minutes with me. "you can have a cast or splint and come back in 4 weeks" was the extent of her conversation with me. No discussion. I left feeling very unimportant and that my injury was boring to her and a waste of her time. I would not have went back to her but I needed to see a doctor ASAP and she was free.

October 07, 2016

Dr Wang has always been great with me, back to 07 Surgeries. I trust her

October 06, 2016

October 06, 2016

The time spent describing or talking about my situation was minimal. I felt the doctor was in such a hurry to visit other patients that I was simply in a line of people, but not a patient. The lack of explanation of my wound or how to deal with it was superficial. Perhaps it was an extraordinary busy day but I was not satisfied with the professionalism displayed.

October 02, 2016

Didn't feel like my issues were resolved. Not sure if I need to go back or how long to wait with the issue before going again .

September 29, 2016

very much look forward to meeting again

August 07, 2016

Great work, no problems hope I don't have any..

August 01, 2016

If there was anytime that I felt like a number and not a patient, this would have been the time. The break in my wrist was explained completely differently than my first visit. I was so confused and shocked! Even though I was told the treatment wouldn't be any different, it made me feel like they might have had the wrong x-ray... did they even have the right patient?! I was told to follow up in a couple of weeks, but was told to maybe try my cast on when I went to PT for an other issue if I needed to, then the Dr's assistant scheduled me for four weeks. Why this was, it wasn't clear to me.

July 31, 2016

This care provider spent less than 5 minutes with me after I waited an hour and a half from my scheduled appointment time. she did not seem to care at all and didn't even look at my injured hand. I will not go back to her or recommend her to anyone else.

July 30, 2016

July 23, 2016

She is very good and I would recommend her to others.

July 21, 2016

amazing - great Dr.

July 16, 2016

Dr. Wang was delightful, very intelligent and interested

July 09, 2016

July 03, 2016

Excellent diagnosis and counsel

June 25, 2016

Both the Fellow and Doctor were amazing at every level. I could not have felt more confident and comfortable with the care I received.

June 20, 2016

Dr. Angela Wang had gotten behind very far behind and the cincequence to me for that is too little time with the care giver which was a little discerning as it was my first time meeting with her. They had me fill out a care survey but it was never brought up or discussed. Nor was my medical history or medications I'm on.

June 11, 2016

Dr. Wang exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. I found her to be professional and I felt very confidant with her abilities and decisions.

June 09, 2016

Dr Wang is great !!!

June 03, 2016

Dr Angela Wang was dismissive and not helpful at all

May 30, 2016

Dr. Wang was amazing thank you so much. She cared, answered questions clearly, and knew what she was doing. She also didn't try to make me have an unneeded surgery. The first doctor I saw elsewhere wanted to do surgery just to make money.

May 28, 2016

I love Dr Wang. She is attentive and listens. Would definitely recommend her!

May 07, 2016

April 16, 2016

Enjoyed my visit. Dr Wang was great. Her assistant was excellent. They were a wonderful team.

April 08, 2016

April 06, 2016

Dr. Wang was efficient, professional, and capable. She communicated with me very well about the possibilities.

March 24, 2016

Care provider was there about 5 minutes, didn't take time to find out what was going on with me, treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about - and didn't particularly care.

March 07, 2016

excellent all around

January 11, 2016

Dr seems to know what she's doing but doesn't have a real "personable" manner of communicating.

January 09, 2016

not because of this orthopedic.i wont be going back to u o u ortho did nothing to make my mind settle to was my last visit to hospital on jan.2 2016

January 07, 2016

I noticed that a lot of nurses/care providers instinctively reached out to shake people's hands. Considering that a lot of patients were there for hand related injuries, I feel there could be a more appropriate greeting or send off.

December 14, 2015

Seems the doctor was in a hurry, behind schedule, didn't take much time with me. Assumed she knew which finger was injured, she didn't wait or ask me and started on the wrong one. I had to show her the injured finger. Spend maybe five minutes.. ordered a shot, left the room, 10 min. later came back in gave me an injection (burned like the dickens) she told me it would and was gone again after a quick explanation about what to expect. I felt like a # rather than a patient.

November 26, 2015

Dr. Wang explains things in terms I can understand. Behle, Dr. Wang's assistant (I believe he was introduced as a trainer) is great. He helped me understand what I should or should not do at this point in my rehabilitation. Having a trainer on the treatment team is a wonderful idea.

November 25, 2015

She was great and knew her stuff. I just felt a little clueless while leaving. I had a few questions about my treatment and what I should be doing and I didn't feel I had time. I felt a little rushed.

November 23, 2015

Doctor Wang is like Flash. She came in for a few minutes and did not seem very receptive while visiting. She left very quickly. I had questions I asked after she had left and the cast specialist went to find her.

November 23, 2015

I have no complaints, just admiration and respect for the Doctor and her team. I think my distal bicep tendon is going to be fine thanks to the big brains at the U of U. Go Utes!

October 13, 2015

Dr. Wang was very professional

October 13, 2015

wonderful center with excellent service

October 10, 2015

she is a bit abrupt and appears very busy

October 04, 2015

A doctor did not make a physical examination. She just only looked at my Х-rays images. I expected more.

October 04, 2015

She was knowledgeable, friendly, explained the diagnosis, different options for treatment and what she recommended we with, making sure I knew that if I had concerns after a determined amount of time, I should return to her. I am very comfortable with her care. In fact, I am seeing an improvement in the time she said I could anticipate! She was friendly and professional.

September 18, 2015

I'm not quite sure if I'm supposed to follow up or not. Not sure what the next step is

September 13, 2015

Dr. Wang spent less than five minutes in the exam room with me. From the get-go, she was curt and uninterested in answering my questions. I went in to the appointment already having been diagnosed with carpal tunnel by a general practitioner, so I was seeing Dr. Wang for confirmation and to discuss my options. She barely examined my wrist at all and told me that if I thought I had carpal tunnel, I probably did and in that case could call her office to schedule surgery. One of my goals for the appointment was to confirm the carpal tunnel diagnosis with a definitive test prior to thinking about surgery, and she did not mention doing this. Only later, when I was calling to change doctors, did I learn that a nerve conduction test is required by insurance companies prior to carpal tunnel surgery. Dr. Wang did not mention this test, and if she had, I would have scheduled it at the end of my appointment. She did not seem to care at all that my pain is seriously limiting my regular activities, and in all, I left my appointment more unsure of how to proceed than I was prior to it. I was extremely unimpressed and will not be seeing Dr. Wang again.

August 14, 2015

Dr Wang is wonderful as is therapy forhand

August 13, 2015

Dr. Wang was very kind. She was gentle with my daughter (the patient) who did not want to look at her injury. Sometimes doctors are very matter-of-fact or get-down-to-business without regard to the patient's needs, but Dr. Wang was able to do her job and allow for my daughter's needs at the same time. As a parent I appreciated that very much.

July 06, 2015

other than this extremely long wait time I would refer this doctor! this might deter me

June 16, 2015

Dr. Wang is very professional and really cares about your needs. I have had two surgeries with her and she has remembered me every time. I feel she really cares!

June 15, 2015

small issue seemed to be even less concern on their part

May 15, 2015

everyone is very proffesonal I feel safe and know I'm being cared for

April 26, 2015

Dr. Wang didn't fully recognize what was going on with my post-op incision area and admitted so. Preliminary diagnosis of an infection was the correct one, with antibiotics the problem is resolving.

April 26, 2015

She was very straight forward and common sensical.

April 26, 2015

The physician seemed disappointed that my pain was only arthritis but she offered no suggestions or remedy to alleviate pain and lack of motion. She wasn't in the room more than 10 minutes and the splints that she recommended and that we're made are useless. She did mention to come back if the symptoms didn't improve.

March 16, 2015

Dr. Wang couldn't have been nicer, more competent, personable, kind or knowledgeable. I was completely happy with the care I received and would recommend her and her staff to anyone!

March 06, 2015

Dr. Wang was great. If you have questions, she'll listen and respond appropriately. If you don't have any questions or concerns then she's not going to waste your time or her own talking about things not related to your medical concern.

March 01, 2015

This was the second time I saw Dr. Wang. I did not enjoy her the first time but that I would give it a another shot. I find her cold and indifferent. she did not care to listen to me or my concerns but jumped into minimizing my concerns. she acted like the only reason I came in was for surgery and since I wasn't a clear surgical candidate, there was no interest in continuing with me. I enjoyed the resident who came in prior to Dr. Wang. I will not return to Dr. Wang. I will not referred Dr. Wang to any of my friends.

February 23, 2015

Dr. Wang was amazing. She was honest with me and didn't dither. Her attitude was also greatly appreciated, and I feel very confident in her diagnosis and treatment plan.

February 15, 2015

I will not recommend this provider.

February 14, 2015

She diagnosed me in 2 minutes, no tests but feeling my wrist. Said to wear a compression sleve on my elbow. Elbow is not wrist. No confidence in diagnosis, no explination on why the diagnosis. Not very friendly

January 26, 2015

The appointment felt very rushed and cold, with minimal concern from the Dr. The explanation of my 'bone settling' during casting was brief and dismissive. No physical therapy was suggested even though I could barely move my hand and had obvious muscle deterioration. My concerns about full range of motion recovery were not addressed. I was trying not to cry but was visibly upset. The Dr. did not take the extra time to reassure me that everything was ok. I left the office crying and scared and nobody said anything. I am very disappointed, as I expect much more from the U and it's 'patient-centered' mission.

January 26, 2015

This dr. didn't seem to care a lot about my hand. She didn't listen to what I had already tried. she game me treatment that I had already done

January 22, 2015

Dr. Wang is not the doctor who did my procedure. I came in because I got an infection on a hand after carpal tunnel surgery and my normal MD Dr. Tyser wasn't available. Dr. Wang came into my treatment room for maybe 5 minutes and seemed very aggravated that i was there and that i was not her patient. I spent more time with the resident, who was great, then I did with her and i felt like I was putting her out because I was not a patient of hers. She was very rushed and rude. When I decide to see get treatment at the University it should not matter if I'm a patient specifically of your or not I should be treated as such and I deserve to get the time to have my questions answered and not feel guilty that i am there. An infection in my hand is a very big deal for me, I work on the burn unit and there is horrible infections up there and i was worried I may have contracted something. I would have appreciated a little respect and time from Dr. Wang even though I technically wasn't her patient.

January 07, 2015

I highly recommend Dr. Wang and her team. I did get a second opinion from another hand surgeon but ultimately I felt most comfortable and confident with Dr. Wang. Dr. Wang's bedside manner was friendly and professional. She listened to my concerns and was willing to answer all of my questions during all encounters, both prior to surgery and at post operative follow ups. My livelihood depends on the use of my hands and she restored my function better than I anticipated for which I am truly grateful.

December 19, 2014

this question will not help you distinguish the care by each of those care givers involved. for example the doctor was clear and easy to understand, but the assistant doctor used language and technical terms that were not clear.

December 13, 2014

as noted before, she did not spend enough time with me to encourage questions.

December 07, 2014

As I said in the last survey, Dr. Wang is in and out in less than five minutes, seems to have more important places to be, and asks if I have questions but her tone and demeanor indicate that she hopes I don't because my medical problem is minor in her eyes and she has other places to be. I would not go back to her even if I try this facility again in the future.

October 30, 2014

Nothing else to say very disappointed

October 30, 2014

I would say the resident showed more personalized care and concern than the provider. While she was friendly and helpful when I asked questions, she was not anticipating needs or showing a huge concern for my daughter's worries.

October 27, 2014

I didn't feel like she listened to what I was saying, and what I needed. She did what she wanted. I was not happy when I left.

October 15, 2014

Had us feel out questions we wanted answered during visit which my 9 year old took seriously which Dr. Wang did not allude to and then when my son brought it up she brushed it off. She had addressed the issues but needed to be more sensitive to a child taking interest in his own care. I will not recommend clinic due to fact that they are not a sensitive to kids and that a horrible cast was put on that I had to have redone...felt like a waste of my day in the end.

October 09, 2014

Dr. Wang did an amazing job, very pleased with the level of care I received.

October 06, 2014

Dr. Wang is knowledgeable, can be personable and is an excellent surgeon. However, during my appointment, she spent more time interacting with the resident than with me. The same situation occurred on my very first appointment with her. Her doctor-patient rapport (at least with me) is non-existent.

September 24, 2014

Did not feel like Dr. Wang cared that I was in pain and felt like she really didn't care if it got fixed or not. I got the feeling that it "wasn't her problem". Very disappointed.

September 24, 2014

Seems my condition (tennis elbow on dominate arm) could be with me for rest of my life. Would have liked more info about to deal with that. E.g. approaches an active person can take to minimize the condition

September 13, 2014

This was just a very simple checkup for prior surgery that had an excellent outcome, so there wasn't much to do. I appreciate the good work!

September 13, 2014

Very dissatisfied about dr wang she wont listen

September 03, 2014

Doctor saw me for maybe 5 minutes after waiting for a while and seeing the resident for more of the time.

August 18, 2014

Extremely impressed with all aspects of my primary care and follow-up. My progress is far more rapid than anticipated and I couldn't be more pleased.

August 16, 2014

Would have bennifited with written instructions

July 05, 2014

Dr. Wang hardly even spoke to me. When I called her with a question about my medication after the surgery she gave me a brief answer and told me to contact my primary care physician if I had any other concerns.

June 15, 2014

The resident was great. The doctor was in and out of the exam room so fast that all I got was a quick diagnosis and recommendation for initial treatment. No rapport, no time taken to listen to and answer questions, and most of the conversation was between the doctor and resident, not the doctor and patient (me). I also noted when checking in for my 9am appointment that at least two other people checked in for a 9am appointment with the same doctor. Perhaps the doctor has too many simultaneous appointments to spend the appropriate time with any one patient.

June 09, 2014

Dr. Wang is fantastic! She was thorough and considerate of my time and condition.

May 30, 2014

She treated the care of an open wound as no big deal; something I should certainly be able to care for myself without complaining or requesting any further pain medication. (She had better things to do.) I tried to contact her a couple of days later when something happened with the treatment, but she never called back.

May 30, 2014

May 19, 2014

My prior research on the internet provided more detail on the injury than the physician did. I wonder if others would understand what the exact injury was from just the visit alone. A picture says a thousand words. Maybe consider starting the visit with a diagram of a specific injury or pulling one up from a respectable website and walking the pt through it.

May 19, 2014

I love that she is very efficient, getting to the issue and explaining the options for a solution. She is friendly and listens to what I have to say. She explained the x-ray findings, what they meant and what we needed to do to fix the issue in a calm, clear manner that I could understand.

May 07, 2014

I read the review about Dr. Wang. There are some that had me concerned. She was very professional. She answered all my questions. She took the time to explain the procedure she would use in my up coming surgery. I am very pleased with her, and confident she will do a good job in operating on my wrist.

April 28, 2014

Dr. Wang was wonderful.

April 26, 2014

I was very disappointed in this doctor, she did not want to help me, and I was seen by her, and I thought that she had done this procedure before. She was not very nice

April 08, 2014

The Dr didn't spend more than a few minutes with me. Maybe she was having a busy day but I didn't feel I was listened to. I wouldn't recommend or return to this particular Dr.

April 04, 2014

My original Injury was treated by Dr. Wang and because of her and her staff I still have my hand. They have never been anything short of Wonderful. I have received the optimum level of care from Dr. Wang and her staff. They have made every explanation in terms I could understand and options I could discuss weigh and make feeling involved, Educated and comfortable Making concerning my injury and Follow up treatment.

April 02, 2014

Dr. Wang spent less than 4 minutes with me. I didn't have a chance to ask any questions. I'm scheduled for surgery with her, but am considering finding another surgeon who I am more comfortable with and who will explain more to me about my condition.

March 28, 2014

I would recommend this care provider because she is an excellent doctor and she seems to be trying to be friendlier.

March 13, 2014

I worried initially that I had made her angry at me- no eye contact, minimal discussion, minimal concern.

March 05, 2014

I did not feel much warmth or personal concern, however, I think the doctor was well enough qualified. I have usually been able to connect with my health care givers and enjoyed mutual professional respect.

March 01, 2014

Dr. Wang and her staff , Have always made me feel comfortable and kept me informed of any options and processes involved with my injury and treatment. And has given me straight answers with direct treatment plans and solid information concerning my injection injury and following Treatment 's & surgery's .

February 26, 2014

I felt like she didn't care very much at all. She seemed like she was in a hurry, and she didn't let me say hardly anything.

February 16, 2014

Time with provider is too short. Spend more time with MA, rad tech, hand therapy

February 15, 2014

Dr. Angela Wang is my go-to expert. I have worked with her for over three years on other injuries. When this latest one came up and a hand expert was needed she is the only one I called. I have the greatest confidence in her. She always gives insightful analysis and recommendations for treatment.

February 07, 2014

Dr. Wang is great!

February 05, 2014

I was impressed w/the "over protected" care & attitude of everyone. I understand the concern & need- it just felt weird. Also maybe the prescription of "Lortab" for such minor surgery was overkill. I never had it filled--I only took Ibuprofen 1 day. Maybe that is why people get "addicted" to prescription drugs.

January 24, 2014

Time with actual provider always is short.

January 18, 2014

You all are awesome!

January 15, 2014

In my opinion, Dr. Wang really didn't want to do the surgery, and didn't give any hope for success

December 27, 2013

Dr. Wang was not very nice. She made a rude comment about my sons other finger that wasn't injured. Said it looked funnier than the hurt one.

December 07, 2013

They take the time you need; and are very interested in your problems

December 02, 2013

Angela isn't the most friendly and personable surgeon, but seems like she knows her stuff very well.

November 15, 2013

November 13, 2013

Everything was just fine

October 28, 2013

I feel like Dr. Wang is a good surgeon, which is what is most important; however, I don't like her bedside manner. She is curt, not friendly, hurried, and doesn't take time to explain risks of surgery, recovery times, what to expect, etc. I'm not sure if I would choose her again.

October 07, 2013

I have referred many people already who are suffering from similar symptoms.

September 30, 2013

The resident/fellow was great. The attending was not. She didn't listen to what I was saying about my hand/wrist and went directly to a diagnosis that would seem appropriate considering my gender and age without taking all of my symptoms into account.

August 28, 2013

The doctor keeps telling me that the hand braces and steroid injections won't really fix the problem but we have to go through all these conservative approaches before surgery is approved. In the meantime I am essentially handicapped with my hand function. Can't anyone at least try to get approval for a surgery? I am not very satisfied to just be a guinea pig with a bunch of procedures that don't fix the problem.

August 13, 2013

Dr Wang did not seem very concerned with me as a patient. She was in the room for less than a minute and she was just very short and did not ask me any questions about how I was feeling. She definitely did not leave any time for me to ask her questions about my hand. I wanted to know about physical therapy or exercises that I could be doing but she left so quickly I didn't have the chance.

August 07, 2013

dr .Wang was friendly and nice. She examined my thumb, MADe. z diagnosis, outlined treatment plan and performed treatment .we talked about alternative treatments and possible surgery. I like likrd hef clear explanations snd options. liked her s lot . chevrcplaindd what she as

August 05, 2013

Dr wang was amazing in trying to help me in every way she could

July 19, 2013

Dr. Wang is wonderful!

July 15, 2013

Great experience overall

June 26, 2013

Dr. Wang is an amazing Dr. who chooses her treatment plan with knowledge and what the patient feels they need to live the most productive life they can. 𿿍

May 29, 2013

Poor communication skills and interpersonal interactions. Communicated with the patient-listen to the chief complaint and discuss options/diagnosis. Do not dismiss symptoms or dismiss the complaint. I would not schedule surgery/care with the physician. I will seek out another physician who is more patient centered.

March 13, 2013

I need more time with this person to be able to comment. Need to know how one returns calls, provides appropriate referrals, pain management etc.

March 04, 2013

Dr. Wang was friendly, courteous, and very professional, as always. I have total trust in her as a physician.

February 19, 2013

February 04, 2013

Dr. Wang had no bed side manner. I felt Like I was an inconvience in her day and that my problem wasn't that big of a deal.

January 29, 2013

Dr. Wang was great but I felt like the appointment was a little rushed.

January 21, 2013

Dr Wang service was beyond my expectations

January 09, 2013

I do not yet have a diagnosis, so this rating may be a bit unfair. Care was direct and to the point. There is a possibility--which was appropriately told to me--that the diagnosis may not be a good one. There was little effort to explore whether this might be disturbing to me or to be supportive in case it were. As the possibility is remote, or so I understand it, this may be appropriate. But it is fair to describe the interaction as quite business-like but not "touchy-feely".

January 07, 2013

I would definitely reccomend Dr. Wang to others. I felt very good about my appointments and surgery.

December 17, 2012

Very brief. Did not ask if I had questions. Did not allow me time to ask questions. Not friendly. Not personable.

October 17, 2012

I just had a surgery done by Doctor Angela Wang and i think she did a fantastic Job. after two weeks my hand is fully functional and healing extremely fast. i would recommend Doctor Wand and Orthopedic center anytime .

October 16, 2012

I felt like the Dr. was rushed and not very interested. She was not that friendly either and this was a 3 year old she was dealing with!

October 09, 2012

Good experience

September 24, 2012

Doctor gave some explanations, but not a lot. Was in a big hurry!

August 28, 2012

dr. wang was great

August 27, 2012

the doctor spent a total of 5 minutes ,disregarding any of my questions and concern, looking like I was wasting her time and bothering her with my presence

August 22, 2012

as a pt you would like to know that your care provider can give you 2 seconds to look you in the eye and actually acknowledge you during an introduction, not shake your hand all the while looking at your record in her hand; not personable at all

August 14, 2012

Dr Wang based her diagnosis on the examination by the resident and failed to address the primary cause of my concern and pain. She recommended a brace for my thumb that did not address my wrist pain/swelling and that actually exacerbated the problem. She did not spend anytime discussing my symptoms or the very specific events that produced them, instead assuming that this was simply an age-related arthritic condition. She was abrupt, uncaring, and dismissive. I would never willingly see her again or recommend her to another patient.

August 13, 2012

She told me that there was no treatment other than surgery without looking at my hand or at the x-rays (at least within my presence.) I had to ask her to actually look at it, and I felt dismissed.

August 13, 2012

Dr Wang was great

August 06, 2012

The doctors were very competent, friendly, and caring. I had a very positive experience.

When my wife asked whether the X-rays looked worse than the break actually was, the Dr said "that's why you aren't an orthopedic surgeon" in a VERY insulting tone and didn't explain ANTHING else about our situation other than what he planned to do and refused to discuss the course of action that we were asking about.

After surgery I felt great, blood flow in left arm and hand was evident. I expected the wounds to delay healing as a diabetic but by 3 weeks I was almost back to normal. I certainly would recommend Dr. Wang to others. She took time to explain the change in my left arm, wrist, and hand, and I felt assured all will be well in time.
