UofU Patient May 16, 2013
We feel very happy and lucky to have found Dr. Dries. We are very confident in his care.
UofU Patient May 10, 2013we like dr dries A LOT
UofU Patient May 07, 2013My only opinion would be to not tell parents you have seen worse. As a parent I know that doctors see all kinds and degrees of things. But when something isn't right with my child that IS the worst for me. It isn't comforting to hear it could be worse because for us it isn't normal which means it is bad.
UofU Patient May 06, 2013Dr. Dries is always very kind and gives praise when parents are doing the right things to help their kids in the long run with their vision.
UofU Patient April 29, 2013I am very impressed with Dr. Dries. He really cares about his patients. I give him my highest recommendation.
UofU Patient April 29, 2013Dr. Dries is very calm and understanding. He doesn't make you feel like any questions or concern in dumb. He explains things very well and takes the time needed. I am so glad my sons eye care is with him.
UofU Patient April 22, 2013He could use a little better personal manner. I felt a little like I was being talked down to.
UofU Patient March 27, 2013Dr. Dries is the best. His manner is kind and patient, and he takes the time to talk things over with us.
UofU Patient March 19, 2013Dr. Dries took the time to email me treatment info!
UofU Patient March 13, 2013Dr Dries has great communication skills, and is very empathetic. Dr Dries and Dr Hartnett made our experience as good as it could be. They are both so compassionate about their patients and their jobs!
UofU Patient March 07, 2013Doctor was very short with us, often cutting us off as we were speaking or asking questions. I felt like he didn't take any concern and didn't want to be bothered with our questions.
UofU Patient March 06, 2013Some conditions scientifically and from a medical standpoint may seem bleak, but I think it helps the patient and family when there is always room for more hope especially from a spiritual perspective.
UofU Patient March 04, 2013I like that Dr. Dries looks at me when he is explaining something to me or answering my questions. He also thanked me for helping him with my child.
UofU Patient March 04, 2013Doctor seemed extremely rushed. After waiting two months to see him, I wish we would have felt like more of a priority during our appt slot.
UofU Patient March 02, 2013Dr. Dries is an excellent doctor! I am very impressed with the way he interacted with me; he is friendly, knowledgeable, and very passionate about his work. I am glad I am under his care, and feel very confident in his abilities to help me.
UofU Patient February 25, 2013Dr. Dries is simply the best care provider.
UofU Patient February 20, 2013We tell every one about Dr. Dries and its so funny how many others we've met that have just the best things to say about Dr. Dries
UofU Patient February 19, 2013Dr. Dries was extremely knowledgeable and I have complete confidence in his diagnosis and treatment plan. However, because he had multiple appointments scheduled at the same time, our appointment seemed very rushed. Because this was my first time and my child was extremely young, I was nervous going into the appointment. I had to prompt Dr. Dries to explain to me what was going on rather then him just knowing and telling me the bare minimum.
UofU Patient February 18, 2013The doctor asked how I as the mother noticed the issue with my daughters eye. I started to explain and immediately he turned his back to me and was looking at my daughters eye and I thought, he isn't even listening to me, so I stopped talking mid story, and sure enough, it didn't even phase him. I also had a whole list of questions I wanted and was eager to ask the doctor and his answers were quick and short with little or no explanation. Which to me was extremely frustrating. I just felt that we were very rushed.
UofU Patient February 05, 2013I regularly refer my patients to Dr. Dries, as well as bring my daughter to him for care. He clearly values efficiency in his office setting and interacts well with children. He is also exceptionally willing to help when I have a clinical issue that requires Ophtho input.
UofU Patient January 14, 2013Dr. Dries is great!
UofU Patient January 14, 2013He seemed genuine and very willing to listening.
UofU Patient December 26, 2012I have already recommended Dr. Dries to others. I have enjoyed his matter-of-fact-ness as well as the information he's given me. I our most recent visit I did notice more personability as well as more information given. I really have appreciated this office.
UofU Patient December 18, 2012Dr. was very good to give me understand information and references for additional contact with another specialist for correcting my problem.
UofU Patient December 17, 2012Dr Dries and his nurses were great! My son was not very responsive and very shy but they never seemed bothered, impatient or frustrated. They remained very calm and collected. I would definitely refer!
UofU Patient December 17, 2012Dr. Dries seemed highly informed. I enjoyed how he personalized the visit with some experiential stories. Some of our conversation was a bit "over my head", as he used some unfamiliar medical words/terms, particularly in regards to potential neurological issues that we will be exploring with an MRI. We are awaiting a copy of the transcription that he prepared for Kevin's pediatrician. Once we got home and were in the position to apply the eye-patch, we came up with some additional questions about duration of wear. I called the office and the associate who answered the phone was prompt in seeking an answer for us, and calling us back.
UofU Patient December 13, 2012My husband was amazed how fast and nice the Dr was. And when you have a 5 year old speed is important.
UofU Patient December 12, 2012Good
UofU Patient December 10, 2012Dr. Dries is fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone.
UofU Patient December 06, 2012Dr Dreis was very appreciate of my help in holding my daughter during the exam. Made me feel important to the success of the appointment. I really liked him.
UofU Patient November 29, 2012He is an amazing doctor, so I would definitely refer him. I just don't feel like a valued patient.
UofU Patient November 21, 2012My daughter had been a patient of Dr. Larson. We were sad to see him move. Dr. Dries was very positive and encouraging about my daughter's recovery 10 months after her surgery.
UofU Patient November 05, 2012Dr. Dries was very professional and friendly towards patient. Exam was very quick, so an explanation of why the Dr. did not need to perform additional eye exam tests would have been helpful.
UofU Patient October 25, 2012Wonderful! Thank you all so very much!
UofU Patient October 13, 2012I appreciated how little wait time we experienced. However, the exam seemed more rushed than previous visits. Perhaps due to the reduction in wait time?
UofU Patient October 13, 2012Whenever I come in contact with someone whose child is experiencing eye problems I recommend Dr. Dries.
UofU Patient October 04, 2012Dr Dries is the BEST! I recommend him to everyone!
UofU Patient September 17, 2012We have been exceptionally pleased with the care Dr. Dries has provided our daughter over the past two years. One of the best doctors we have encountered in our time in Utah.
UofU Patient September 17, 2012I was very impressed with Dr. Dries. He was so good with Kaden and listened.
UofU Patient September 04, 2012I came to Dr. Dries for a second opinion. He was very friendly and professional and I feel like he really cares about his patients and want to give them the highest quality service. It was worth the drive up there for him to hear about my concerns for my son's eye problems.
UofU Patient September 03, 2012I feel like I received conflicting information regarding my son's treatment from previous appointment to this appointment.
UofU Patient September 01, 2012Dr. Dries is amazing. Very qualified, kind and sympathetic. Thank you for ALL your help!
UofU Patient August 30, 2012Wonderful doctor. We would definitely recommend him!
UofU Patient August 27, 2012Appreciated Dr. Dries reassuring manner with my daughter and information on allergy medication for itchy eyes.
UofU Patient August 23, 2012We've been seeing Dr. Dries for 8 years. I'm confident that he's very knowledgeable and experienced. However, after every appointment I leave feeling frustrated. He always seems to be in a rush and he doesn't answer my questions satisfactorily - his answers are short and a bit terse. He acts friendly, but his attitude seems to be "you don't need to know that/you couldn't understand that/your question isn't important."
UofU Patient August 06, 2012Dr. Dries was wonderful!
UofU Patient July 30, 2012I wish you had an amazing button. This was our second visit with Dr. Dries and he is an amazing doctor. So patient and kind, explained everything to us in detail. I had complete confidence in his diagnosis and treatment. He is a wonderful Dr.
UofU Patient July 24, 2012Dr. Dries was very friendly, caring, and professional. Feel very confident in his skills to provide care for my child.
UofU Patient July 23, 2012I love that Dr. Dries is willing to explain things in an easy to understand fashion. My daughter has a genetic syndrom (Noonan Syndrome) and has had lots of surgeries with her heart and brain and I feel thankful Dr. Dires keeps a good eye on her and alsw
UofU Patient July 18, 2012have no negative comments towards this practice
UofU Patient July 11, 2012Dr. Dries is absolutely wonderful. He always display genuine concern for our son.
UofU Patient July 02, 2012We couldn't speak more highly of Dr. Dries. He saved our daughter's eye sight.
UofU Patient June 21, 2012He answered all our questions
UofU Patient June 18, 2012This was our first visit with Dr. Dries. My daughter's eyes looked really good this time so our visit was brief, but I really liked Dr. Dries and thought his bedside manner was great.
UofU Patient June 13, 2012Wish written information was given to us about the condition being treated.
UofU Patient June 11, 2012Dr. Dries was fantastic. Very easy going and patient with my wiggly 2 year old. Not all doctor's seem to have that kind of patience. Very much appreciated
UofU Patient June 07, 2012Dr. Dries has always been respectful and courteous.
UofU Patient June 07, 2012The only thing to be improved would be to allow the doctor to travel to Logan for a clinic.
UofU Patient June 04, 2012Dr Dries is amazing, he took the time to explain my sons situation and make sure we fully understood everything his staff is also very good and great with kids.
UofU Patient May 07, 2012Dr Dries is an amazing doctor and I am so grateful we found him to care for Abbie. He has always had a great knack for helping us understand what is going on with her and has been a great person to work with in caring for Abbie's visual needs.
UofU Patient May 07, 2012very friendly and prompt
UofU Patient May 01, 2012I like Dr. Dries but sometimes I feel, he feels I shouldn't talk or that I shouldn't ask questions. I have left appts feeling incomplete, left with unanswered questions and questioning the answer I received.
UofU Patient April 26, 2012I've always been impressed with Dr. Dries, which is why we continue to travel an hour and a half to see him.
UofU Patient April 17, 2012Dr. Dries is very friendly.
UofU Patient April 10, 2012It is obvious he is overworked and can't keep up with the work load that has been placed on him. I think it spills over into his care.
UofU Patient April 09, 2012Dr. Dries is a wonderful doctor. He is very kind, thorough and professional.
UofU Patient April 02, 2012Dr. Dries is wonderful!!!!
UofU Patient March 15, 2012Dr. Dries is one of the best providers I have ever seen. I have always been impressed with him.
UofU Patient March 15, 2012This practice of doctors are some of the best I have encountered. They are careful and specific and encourage both patient and parents to address and solve problems.
UofU Patient March 15, 2012I felt like he was telling me things that he's told me before. I drove from Provo to SLC and spend $35 just to have him tell me the same thing he did last time. I was a little disapointed in that.
UofU Patient March 12, 2012We have been bringing our daughter to see Dr. Dries since she was one, I have also had students of mine that have been his patient. He is always spoken highly of.
UofU Patient March 06, 2012Our eye doctor was excellent. He really put me at ease about my daughters corrective eye surgery coming soon. He sounded confident about the procedure, and explained the risk of complications and possible outcomes. He asked me if I had any questions, and allowed me time to pause, reflect, and re direct my question until I was satisfied he'd completely answered it. Great Job..this is a wonderful doctor.
UofU Patient March 06, 2012He is good but I don't think he is naturally good with kids like some are. I have a 2 year old who is extremely hyper and wants to touch everything and get into everything. She tried to grab the equipment and he became snappy at me...saying I needed to stop her. I was trying my hardest but to help him trying to get her to focus on him and to stop her from grabbing the equipment isn't easy. He tries to talk to her sweet and in a kid like tone but it seems really forced. I think he does a good job but sometimes how he is with her kinda makes me stress cause I know that deep down he is stressed with her. I think he is smart and I did suggest him to my sister who will be going to him...I just wish he relaxed a little more and made me feel a little more at ease.
UofU Patient March 05, 2012Have only seen MD twice; 2 annual visits to date, but very comfortable with care provided.
UofU Patient March 02, 2012I have a little handicapped girl that has very poor eyesight. Her eye site improves significantly from visit to visit with Dr. Dries, but he never takes more than two seconds to look at her. S I didn't go to my last appointment and I'm never coming back to see this Doctor again.
UofU Patient March 01, 2012Great! We love Dr. Dries!
UofU Patient January 30, 2012Dr. Dreis told me that my daughter was potentially missing part of her skull and that it needed to be determined before she had any surgery, but before I could even open my mouth to tell him she was going in for surgery he began his dictation. This was the second time he cut me off before I could ask any questions. Previously I had asked a question and he ignored it until he had filled out paperwork for two or three minutes. (two to three sheets if I remember correctly.)
UofU Patient January 26, 2012Thank you
UofU Patient January 25, 2012The physician seemed to be in a big hurry.
UofU Patient January 25, 2012He did not seem to show concern for the reason that my daughter was there and did not offer timely feedback to her other doctor.
UofU Patient January 18, 2012On my first visit was not included in my child's treatment regarding whether his eyes were dilated and why it was necessary
UofU Patient January 12, 2012Dr Dries is very experienced and obviously knows what he is talking about. However, he talks very fast and seems in a hurry. He also seems to not to have much rapport with children, which is interesting in a pediatric opthamologist. However, I am very confident in his abilities as a doctor and surgeon, and so overall, I am happy with his care.
UofU Patient January 04, 2012Dr. Dries is without a doubt the most attentive and thorough provider we have ever seen. He explains treatment, is great with the kids, is willing to answer questions and though I know he is busy, we never feel like he is trying to rush to the next patient.
