Great visit, informative as always.

July 15, 2014

Not a better doctor! We love him! Have been with him for more than 10 years!!

July 07, 2014

I'm not sure if this is related to the surgery Dr. Dries performed or the follow-up appointment. Whichever one was Dr. Dries is wonderful. I have NO hesitation in referring him. He is amazing and I am so grateful that Moran's Dr. Bernstein and Dr. Katz referred him. Actually you have some incredible doctors and surgeons there and I truly owe them my eyesight.

July 03, 2014

We love Dr. Dries!

June 19, 2014

Dr. Dies is a kind but knowledable doctor. I reccommend him any chance I get. I appreciate that he is very busy but cares about my daughter (his patient) and any concerns that I may have. We always have positive experiences when we come to visit.

June 17, 2014

Am not sure if this is connected with pre-surgery or actual surgery on 6/10/2014. The entire pre and actual surgery experience was terrific. And, I honestly can't find enough words to describe how it feels to not have double vision any more. After all these years with problems and no one even remotely finding a solution except for prisms in eyeglasses it took Moran and Dr. Dries to help me. I am forever grateful.

April 28, 2014

I frequently refer my patients to Dr. Dries and his colleagues. Dr. Dries is responsive, efficient, and skilled.

April 26, 2014

Dr Dries and his staff were amazing!

April 24, 2014

Dr. Dries is so nice and friendly. he really makes you feel welcome and shows he cares.

April 24, 2014

We are no strangers to this clinic and have seen 5 of the doctors within the Peds Opthalmology speciality. Dr. Dries was patient with our daughter, who can be very difficult sometimes. He was rushed, as all of them are, because they run such a busy clinic. We've come to expect a lesser standard of care from this specialty because of the rushed feeling, the high wait times(which were strikingly low this time), and the less than professional assistants, who are probably just facing high burn out from such a stressful job.

April 07, 2014

He is great. I know he's a very busy doctor. He seemed a little rushed, which I'm not complaining about, as I know how many patients he sees. I would have liked to talk a minute or two longer about a previous comment he made on the diagnosis, but they way things went, I didn't get it in.

March 05, 2014

Dr. Dries is a very good doctor. I am glad that my son sees him for his eye appointments.

March 02, 2014

I've been very grateful for the amazing job Dr. Dries did on my son's eyes.

January 30, 2014

Best experience we have had thus far. Provider was very kind.

January 21, 2014

dr Dries is excellent. I always enjoy him.

December 11, 2013

The doctor did not explain what tests he was doing or why. he answered my question, but in the most basic terms and did not elaborate or follow-up to see if I understood. He did not spend much time with us or follow up on a concern I brought up. I was dissatisfied with this visit.

December 03, 2013

Overall we had a very good experience and appreciated Dr. Dries knowledge and kind approach. One thing he could have done to make our experience better would be to provide more specific explanations regarding prognosis and some practical details on what to expect in the future.

November 25, 2013

I feel like Dr. Dries is reading from a script when we visit. he literally says the same thing every time, very impersonal. if I didn't doubt his expertise, I would go elsewhere

November 13, 2013

Dr. Dries is always so friendly and gets so excited when things look good. He is always letting me know that I have done well in regards to my childs eyes and to keep up the good work.

November 11, 2013

Dr. Dries is a great doctor!

October 15, 2013

I really liked Dr. Dries. He explained things well to us and he was very friendly.

October 14, 2013

I simply cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dries. He is courteous, kind, informative and reassuring. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

October 10, 2013

very nice, no pressure approach to things. Appreciated his demeanor and interaction with us.

September 26, 2013

Dr. Dries was wonderful...Explaining things so I could understand and being so sweet with my 1 year old daughter!

September 24, 2013

we had a student doctor or whatever which I don't mind but dr D talked to him more than me, which wasn't a lot but I would have liked to feel heard a little more about my concern about my daughters eye.

September 23, 2013

We did not get follow-up care instructions because we had to leave before the exam could be finished. (see previous note)

September 20, 2013

It feels like he doesn't want you to open up and ask questions. It feels like you are not allowed to speak until it is permitted. It makes the interaction awkward and not as open, accepting and understanding as I believe it can be with an intelligent doctor who cares about communicating and giving patients the best possible understanding. Some doctors help you feel like they genuinely care and treat you like a good friend or family member instead of condescending to you like a patient they are in the business of treating.

September 11, 2013

Dr. Dries is very kind and works as quickly as he can without feeling pushy. He has a heavy schedule but makes sure to ask if I have any questions or concerns.

September 09, 2013

Dr. Dries is far ans away the best doctor either of my children have seen. He is concerned, knows what he is talking about and explains what is going on and what will likely happen with the patient. We could not be more pleased with his care of our daughter.

September 03, 2013

Dr. Dries is wonderful!!! I trust him 100% and am very grateful for his expertise!

August 26, 2013

I would have appreciated more explanation of the tests the doctor was running on my daughter so I could have explained them to her better.

August 06, 2013

Dr. Dries is wonderful!! We have been coming to this clinic for 6 years and highly recommend it. Dr. Dries went out of his way to get our surgery scheduled before we moved and our insurance changed. He is very knowledgeable and understanding when it comes to our concerns. So grateful we were referred to him 6 years ago.

July 30, 2013

The follow up care, I was on my way out and asked about if we were still patching. I guess I just hope that all my questions will be answered so I don't have to come with a list. So I was glad I asked but I guess I was concerned that if I hadn't of remembered then we'd still be patching as directed last time.

July 26, 2013

This appointment was a little rushed. But Dr. addressed my questions and concerns well.

July 22, 2013

I felt like the findings of the exam were not presented to me. Dr Dries could tell I wanted more Information and asked If I had questions buI couldn't think of the right questions to ask. I would have liked him to summarize what he found before talking about options.

July 15, 2013

We have reccommended Dr. Dries to several other people. I think he is awesome. We saw several other optometrists and ophthalmologists, and pediatric optometrists before coming to see Dr. Dries. He was the one we liked above all others, and trust with our daughters care. I know he is busy and hard to get into see, but I think that shows how great he is, and I don't mind waiting because I know I am seeing the best Doctor.

June 26, 2013

My daughter has been going to see Dr. Dries since she was a year old. She is now seven, and Dr. Dries has always taken the time to make sure that both she and I are comfortable and aware of what is going on, which was no small task when she was a toddler.

June 21, 2013

very impressed with dr. dries. very professional, accomplished, quick, informative, friendly and engaging

June 03, 2013

Again, the 1st nurse who did the initial eye test was not friendly and made it seem like she was not happy to help a 2 year old with an eye test. The second PA was great and he was very friendly. The Dr. was great as usual and very helpful.

May 30, 2013

the doctor never actually told us the diagnosis and now I am at home worrying about my son. I will try today to call in and try and find out details. I just feel like everything is quite confusing and don't quite understand the stepsto getting him better

May 30, 2013

Dr. Dries always seems in a rush and reluctant to answer questions, so over the years I've pretty much stopped asking. I feel like he thinks I won't understand what he's talking about or he'll scare me with the truth or something. I know he's experienced and that's great. I feel confident that he knows his stuff. He's always polite, just not very personable. Actually, this time he did better. I asked one question and he gave me a straightforward answer instead of a vague one. It was nice!

May 16, 2013

We feel very happy and lucky to have found Dr. Dries. We are very confident in his care.

May 10, 2013

we like dr dries A LOT

May 07, 2013

My only opinion would be to not tell parents you have seen worse. As a parent I know that doctors see all kinds and degrees of things. But when something isn't right with my child that IS the worst for me. It isn't comforting to hear it could be worse because for us it isn't normal which means it is bad.

May 06, 2013

Dr. Dries is always very kind and gives praise when parents are doing the right things to help their kids in the long run with their vision.

April 29, 2013

Dr. Dries is very calm and understanding. He doesn't make you feel like any questions or concern in dumb. He explains things very well and takes the time needed. I am so glad my sons eye care is with him.

April 29, 2013

I am very impressed with Dr. Dries. He really cares about his patients. I give him my highest recommendation.

April 22, 2013

He could use a little better personal manner. I felt a little like I was being talked down to.

March 27, 2013

Dr. Dries is the best. His manner is kind and patient, and he takes the time to talk things over with us.

March 19, 2013

Dr. Dries took the time to email me treatment info!

March 13, 2013

Dr Dries has great communication skills, and is very empathetic. Dr Dries and Dr Hartnett made our experience as good as it could be. They are both so compassionate about their patients and their jobs!

March 07, 2013

Doctor was very short with us, often cutting us off as we were speaking or asking questions. I felt like he didn't take any concern and didn't want to be bothered with our questions.

March 06, 2013

Some conditions scientifically and from a medical standpoint may seem bleak, but I think it helps the patient and family when there is always room for more hope especially from a spiritual perspective.

March 04, 2013

I like that Dr. Dries looks at me when he is explaining something to me or answering my questions. He also thanked me for helping him with my child.

March 04, 2013

Doctor seemed extremely rushed. After waiting two months to see him, I wish we would have felt like more of a priority during our appt slot.

March 02, 2013

Dr. Dries is an excellent doctor! I am very impressed with the way he interacted with me; he is friendly, knowledgeable, and very passionate about his work. I am glad I am under his care, and feel very confident in his abilities to help me.

February 25, 2013

Dr. Dries is simply the best care provider.

February 20, 2013

We tell every one about Dr. Dries and its so funny how many others we've met that have just the best things to say about Dr. Dries

February 19, 2013

Dr. Dries was extremely knowledgeable and I have complete confidence in his diagnosis and treatment plan. However, because he had multiple appointments scheduled at the same time, our appointment seemed very rushed. Because this was my first time and my child was extremely young, I was nervous going into the appointment. I had to prompt Dr. Dries to explain to me what was going on rather then him just knowing and telling me the bare minimum.

February 18, 2013

The doctor asked how I as the mother noticed the issue with my daughters eye. I started to explain and immediately he turned his back to me and was looking at my daughters eye and I thought, he isn't even listening to me, so I stopped talking mid story, and sure enough, it didn't even phase him. I also had a whole list of questions I wanted and was eager to ask the doctor and his answers were quick and short with little or no explanation. Which to me was extremely frustrating. I just felt that we were very rushed.

February 05, 2013

I regularly refer my patients to Dr. Dries, as well as bring my daughter to him for care. He clearly values efficiency in his office setting and interacts well with children. He is also exceptionally willing to help when I have a clinical issue that requires Ophtho input.

January 14, 2013

Dr. Dries is great!

January 14, 2013

He seemed genuine and very willing to listening.

December 26, 2012

I have already recommended Dr. Dries to others. I have enjoyed his matter-of-fact-ness as well as the information he's given me. I our most recent visit I did notice more personability as well as more information given. I really have appreciated this office.

December 18, 2012

Dr. was very good to give me understand information and references for additional contact with another specialist for correcting my problem.

December 17, 2012

Dr. Dries seemed highly informed. I enjoyed how he personalized the visit with some experiential stories. Some of our conversation was a bit "over my head", as he used some unfamiliar medical words/terms, particularly in regards to potential neurological issues that we will be exploring with an MRI. We are awaiting a copy of the transcription that he prepared for Kevin's pediatrician. Once we got home and were in the position to apply the eye-patch, we came up with some additional questions about duration of wear. I called the office and the associate who answered the phone was prompt in seeking an answer for us, and calling us back.

December 17, 2012

Dr Dries and his nurses were great! My son was not very responsive and very shy but they never seemed bothered, impatient or frustrated. They remained very calm and collected. I would definitely refer!

December 13, 2012

My husband was amazed how fast and nice the Dr was. And when you have a 5 year old speed is important.

December 12, 2012

Good

December 10, 2012

Dr. Dries is fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone.

December 06, 2012

Dr Dreis was very appreciate of my help in holding my daughter during the exam. Made me feel important to the success of the appointment. I really liked him.

November 29, 2012

He is an amazing doctor, so I would definitely refer him. I just don't feel like a valued patient.

November 21, 2012

My daughter had been a patient of Dr. Larson. We were sad to see him move. Dr. Dries was very positive and encouraging about my daughter's recovery 10 months after her surgery.

November 05, 2012

Dr. Dries was very professional and friendly towards patient. Exam was very quick, so an explanation of why the Dr. did not need to perform additional eye exam tests would have been helpful.

October 25, 2012

Wonderful! Thank you all so very much!

October 13, 2012

Whenever I come in contact with someone whose child is experiencing eye problems I recommend Dr. Dries.

October 13, 2012

I appreciated how little wait time we experienced. However, the exam seemed more rushed than previous visits. Perhaps due to the reduction in wait time?

October 04, 2012

Dr Dries is the BEST! I recommend him to everyone!

September 17, 2012

We have been exceptionally pleased with the care Dr. Dries has provided our daughter over the past two years. One of the best doctors we have encountered in our time in Utah.

September 17, 2012

I was very impressed with Dr. Dries. He was so good with Kaden and listened.

September 04, 2012

I came to Dr. Dries for a second opinion. He was very friendly and professional and I feel like he really cares about his patients and want to give them the highest quality service. It was worth the drive up there for him to hear about my concerns for my son's eye problems.

September 03, 2012

I feel like I received conflicting information regarding my son's treatment from previous appointment to this appointment.

September 01, 2012

Dr. Dries is amazing. Very qualified, kind and sympathetic. Thank you for ALL your help!

August 30, 2012

Wonderful doctor. We would definitely recommend him!

August 27, 2012

Appreciated Dr. Dries reassuring manner with my daughter and information on allergy medication for itchy eyes.

August 23, 2012

We've been seeing Dr. Dries for 8 years. I'm confident that he's very knowledgeable and experienced. However, after every appointment I leave feeling frustrated. He always seems to be in a rush and he doesn't answer my questions satisfactorily - his answers are short and a bit terse. He acts friendly, but his attitude seems to be "you don't need to know that/you couldn't understand that/your question isn't important."

August 06, 2012

Dr. Dries was wonderful!

July 30, 2012

I wish you had an amazing button. This was our second visit with Dr. Dries and he is an amazing doctor. So patient and kind, explained everything to us in detail. I had complete confidence in his diagnosis and treatment. He is a wonderful Dr.

July 24, 2012

Dr. Dries was very friendly, caring, and professional. Feel very confident in his skills to provide care for my child.

July 23, 2012

I love that Dr. Dries is willing to explain things in an easy to understand fashion. My daughter has a genetic syndrom (Noonan Syndrome) and has had lots of surgeries with her heart and brain and I feel thankful Dr. Dires keeps a good eye on her and alsw

July 18, 2012

have no negative comments towards this practice

July 11, 2012

Dr. Dries is absolutely wonderful. He always display genuine concern for our son.

July 02, 2012

We couldn't speak more highly of Dr. Dries. He saved our daughter's eye sight.

June 21, 2012

He answered all our questions

June 18, 2012

This was our first visit with Dr. Dries. My daughter's eyes looked really good this time so our visit was brief, but I really liked Dr. Dries and thought his bedside manner was great.

June 13, 2012

Wish written information was given to us about the condition being treated.

June 11, 2012

Dr. Dries was fantastic. Very easy going and patient with my wiggly 2 year old. Not all doctor's seem to have that kind of patience. Very much appreciated

June 07, 2012

The only thing to be improved would be to allow the doctor to travel to Logan for a clinic.

June 07, 2012

Dr. Dries has always been respectful and courteous.

June 04, 2012

Dr Dries is amazing, he took the time to explain my sons situation and make sure we fully understood everything his staff is also very good and great with kids.

May 07, 2012

Dr Dries is an amazing doctor and I am so grateful we found him to care for Abbie. He has always had a great knack for helping us understand what is going on with her and has been a great person to work with in caring for Abbie's visual needs.

May 07, 2012

very friendly and prompt

May 01, 2012

I like Dr. Dries but sometimes I feel, he feels I shouldn't talk or that I shouldn't ask questions. I have left appts feeling incomplete, left with unanswered questions and questioning the answer I received.

April 26, 2012

I've always been impressed with Dr. Dries, which is why we continue to travel an hour and a half to see him.

April 17, 2012

Dr. Dries is very friendly.

April 10, 2012

It is obvious he is overworked and can't keep up with the work load that has been placed on him. I think it spills over into his care.

April 09, 2012

Dr. Dries is a wonderful doctor. He is very kind, thorough and professional.

April 02, 2012

Dr. Dries is wonderful!!!!

March 15, 2012

This practice of doctors are some of the best I have encountered. They are careful and specific and encourage both patient and parents to address and solve problems.

March 15, 2012

I felt like he was telling me things that he's told me before. I drove from Provo to SLC and spend $35 just to have him tell me the same thing he did last time. I was a little disapointed in that.

March 15, 2012

Dr. Dries is one of the best providers I have ever seen. I have always been impressed with him.

March 12, 2012

We have been bringing our daughter to see Dr. Dries since she was one, I have also had students of mine that have been his patient. He is always spoken highly of.

March 06, 2012

He is good but I don't think he is naturally good with kids like some are. I have a 2 year old who is extremely hyper and wants to touch everything and get into everything. She tried to grab the equipment and he became snappy at me...saying I needed to stop her. I was trying my hardest but to help him trying to get her to focus on him and to stop her from grabbing the equipment isn't easy. He tries to talk to her sweet and in a kid like tone but it seems really forced. I think he does a good job but sometimes how he is with her kinda makes me stress cause I know that deep down he is stressed with her. I think he is smart and I did suggest him to my sister who will be going to him...I just wish he relaxed a little more and made me feel a little more at ease.

March 06, 2012

Our eye doctor was excellent. He really put me at ease about my daughters corrective eye surgery coming soon. He sounded confident about the procedure, and explained the risk of complications and possible outcomes. He asked me if I had any questions, and allowed me time to pause, reflect, and re direct my question until I was satisfied he'd completely answered it. Great Job..this is a wonderful doctor.

March 05, 2012

Have only seen MD twice; 2 annual visits to date, but very comfortable with care provided.

March 02, 2012

I have a little handicapped girl that has very poor eyesight. Her eye site improves significantly from visit to visit with Dr. Dries, but he never takes more than two seconds to look at her. S I didn't go to my last appointment and I'm never coming back to see this Doctor again.

March 01, 2012

Great! We love Dr. Dries!

January 30, 2012

Dr. Dreis told me that my daughter was potentially missing part of her skull and that it needed to be determined before she had any surgery, but before I could even open my mouth to tell him she was going in for surgery he began his dictation. This was the second time he cut me off before I could ask any questions. Previously I had asked a question and he ignored it until he had filled out paperwork for two or three minutes. (two to three sheets if I remember correctly.)

January 26, 2012

Thank you

January 25, 2012

The physician seemed to be in a big hurry.

January 25, 2012

He did not seem to show concern for the reason that my daughter was there and did not offer timely feedback to her other doctor.

January 18, 2012

On my first visit was not included in my child's treatment regarding whether his eyes were dilated and why it was necessary

January 12, 2012

Dr Dries is very experienced and obviously knows what he is talking about. However, he talks very fast and seems in a hurry. He also seems to not to have much rapport with children, which is interesting in a pediatric opthamologist. However, I am very confident in his abilities as a doctor and surgeon, and so overall, I am happy with his care.

January 04, 2012

Dr. Dries is without a doubt the most attentive and thorough provider we have ever seen. He explains treatment, is great with the kids, is willing to answer questions and though I know he is busy, we never feel like he is trying to rush to the next patient.
