Dr J is wonderful. He is so through and truely concerned about my health and me as a person. He loves being a Doctor and helping people, a great doctor. He always remembers to ask about my husband's health which reinforces to me that he cares about me as a person. I've never felt like a "number" only as a friend. It's easy to trust his knowledge. Not all doctors have this gift. We are furtunate to have him watching over us. We depend on him. Thanks

UofU Patient March 27, 2013I appreciate the time that was taken with me on one of the issues that i came in for, but there was another problem that I came in with that i would have liked to have had more time to discuss and look at different options for treatment and look at the cause of the problem rather than prescribing a prescription right away.
UofU Patient March 22, 2013I love this Dr., he is great -- not dry, boring, nor treat you like you are just another specimen or that your problems/concerns are ridiculous or whatever; Dr's get used to knowing all this stuff but so many of them blow you off so quickly as if you too are supposed to be up to the same speed as they are. Dr. Johnson has never treated me like that. He asserts his authority but with respect and deference for my concerns and with care to treat me as a real, living individual. The only feedback I marked below a 5 was because during my physical, which was almost stellar, nothing was mentioned about my blood pressure. I noticed after the visit that the paperwork showed it's still a bit high. My guess is that Dr. Johnson didn't feel it was a concern given all of my other markers were great and I have been consistently moving in the right direction for over a year (eating better, exercising, losing weight). Still, I would feel better if I knew he noticed it and wasn't too concerned about it. If the worst you can say about a Dr. is that he didn't overplay one minor condition and throw a bunch of medicine down your throat, well then this Dr. is in the the top 1% for sure. :D

I came to him as the last appointment of the day, he had not seen me before and had to get tests done etc. He was very relaxed and thorough and gave me great explanations of my test results, and advice for me. He made me feel calm and well cared for. He sent me to South Jordan for more tests and checked on my results, sent me an email checking on me and letting me know he had seen my tests. I think he is wonderful!

UofU Patient January 17, 2013I would like to see more focus on the skill and movement well being of the kids. Not just if they are physically well. My last doctor took the time to check that they could do the talking and "playing" that they should be able to do at that age. EXAMPLE: pick up small objects, match shapes, follow instructions, copy a pattern, stack blocks,

He does not make you feel that in any way he is superior to you if you ask less than an intelligent question, etc. He's a great physician.

UofU Patient August 17, 2012I was nervous seeing a new doctor because usually I have to see several before I can find one that actually seems to care at all about what I have to say. This doctor blew me away with how passionate he seemed about finding out exactly what needed to be fixed and how best to fix it, and he made sure I was with him every step of the way so that I knew exactly what steps I needed to take to get as healthy as possible.
