Dr Aoki was excellent made us feel very comfortable and confident in the procedure that needed to take place. I would recommend him.

August 28, 2014

My boyfriend and I liked Dr. Aoki regarding his manner. Dr. Aoki approach to only doing a revision after further diagnostic injection has been done. Dr. Aoki explanation that he could go in but it is more difficult if not a clearer picture of what is causing pain. Explained hip replacement there is no going back. Dr. Aoki was very humble. Not jumping on doing surgery until further testing which I had already had scheduled from another doctor. Dr. Aoki was very respectful regarding other physician I have seen regarding hip issue. Only huge frustration is Dr. Aoki follow up schedule is so far out. Five weeks until I see him.

August 25, 2014

Dr. Aoki was one of the best physician's I have worked w/ in regard to my daughter. He went above what I expected, waiting for records, keeping us informed and also explaining things in a way that were easily understood. Exceptional physician.

August 10, 2014

Brilliant, kind doctor

August 10, 2014

August 09, 2014

Dr. Aoki is an exceptional Doctor. I have been a patient of his for over 7 years. He takes the time to explain everything and doesn't act like he is being rushed. I have recommended him to friends and family in the past and will continue to do so.

August 09, 2014

Dr. Aoki, and PT Mark Brees(?) were both excellent!

July 27, 2014

I have been a registered nurse for 15 years and have worked with many physicians and surgeons. I can honestly say the Dr. Aoki and his staff are very unique! They show my kindness with every single visit, Dr. Aoki never acts as though he is in a hurry (when I know he is a very busy physician), he is extremely knowledgeable, answers ALL of my questions and makes me feel warm, welcome and at ease. The radiology tech's and MA's also provide the same care! They have made this experience amazing! Thank you!

July 19, 2014

Dr. Aoki is a revelation! Brilliant doctor and surgeon!! extremely thorough, wise and gentle. he took a lot of time and explained my situation so well. I love him!!!!

July 02, 2014

Dr. Aoki is an amazing physician. I struggled for several years with hip pain and was fearful of any surgery. He was very understanding and ensured I understood every part of my surgery and recovery. I am feeling such great relief already, very early out from surgery. I have already recommended him to others!

June 14, 2014

I would highly recommend Dr. Aoki to anyone and everyone. I was referred to him because I was informed he is the best hip surgeon in Utah. He was on time to the appointment, and he spent a lot of time with me. He explained to me what my condition was through a youtube video, with a model, by showing me my radiology images, and by explaining it to me in simple and clear words. He also provided me with a resource pamphlet so I could read more. He answered my questions completely, and he was extremely courteous. After explaining to me my condition, he asked me what I thought about the treatment he proposed. I really appreciated him asking me about my feelings and honestly caring about them. He promptly set me up with Frankie to arrange a time for surgery, and he followed up with me and my primary care physician over the phone about my condition and the surgery. I feel like he spent plenty of time with me explaining my condition, and I have complete confidence in his abilities and his judgment. I think he is an incredible doctor and an amazing person. I am so glad that I was referred to Dr. Aoki!

June 08, 2014

has truly been helpful and I would really recommend dr Aoki to anyone and everyone with problems.

June 03, 2014

I could not say enough great things about Dr. Aoki! He is the best doctor I've ever had. He has a wonderful bedside manner and seems like he legitimately cares about your welfare. He remembers you as a person and not just patient #473. He "fixed" me after I had spent over six months seeing multiple other providers who couldn't give me a reasonable answer. The others just sent me to physical therapy, acting as though there was nothing wrong with me because I was too young to have real hip problems. But Dr. Aoki took my complaints seriously, and diagnosed my problem within 20 minutes of seeing me. I think my favorite thing about Dr. Aoki is his attitude towards my recovery: he had realistic expectations for me and didn't tell me just to quit doing certain activities all together (which other doctors HAVE told me to do). He wanted me to be able to do the things I enjoy and even encouraged it, as long as I feel comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Aoki!

June 02, 2014

Dr. Aoki and the Resident Physician that examined my hip first were fantastic. Dr. Aoki is probably one of the best doctors I have had and explains everything so clearly. Even though he is not my knee doctor (Dr. Gordon Kimball referred me to Dr. Aoki for hip surgery), Dr. Aoki took the time to discuss my knee troubles.

May 17, 2014

Dr. Aoki and James both explained everything much better than any prior physician has.

April 26, 2014

All questions were answered

March 31, 2014

The PA and Doctor took time with me to review my x-rays and discuss my problem. I didn't feel rushed at all. This was a pleasant surprise and not something you find in the healthcare industry.

March 18, 2014

Dr. Aoki is wonderful. He has a great bedside manner, and you can really tell how much he cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone.

March 13, 2014

I have already recommended Dr. Aoki to others:)

February 22, 2014

Doctor didn't have to give me any medications. He ended up referring me to someone else who would be able to help me.

February 19, 2014

I was not satisfied with the explanation that I was given about my condition and what to do about it. No medication was involved. Dr. Aoki seems like a good doctor, I just wish that he would give me more information and guidance.

February 15, 2014

Dr Aoki is one of the most caring, personable, and professional doctors I have ever worked with.

February 10, 2014

I have only gratitude for my whole experience!

February 07, 2014

There is not enough kind words I could use to describe Dr. Aoki and his staff.....Superb!!

February 03, 2014

I came to Dr. Aoki on high recommendations and I was not disappointed. I have recently gotten brushed off from other doctors concerning my knee situation in particular. I came to Dr. Aoki because of my hips but received just as much attention from him on my knees, which was very reassuring. Dr. Aoki far exceeded my expectations and now I have hope that my outlook is brighter than I previously thought. Dr. Aoki, please please continue to treat people like you did me. It makes a HUGE difference to show true concern and spend real time going over things.

February 01, 2014

December 03, 2013

Dr. Aoki was amazing. He was patient, thorough and listened to my questions and concerns. I knew I was in good hands when he took out a model of a hip joint and explained both what was normal, and what was different in MY hip that was causing the problems. His recommendations were clear and he seemed genuinely concerned about my issues.

December 03, 2013

After seeing Dr. Aoki we will never go to another Knee specialist again. Dr. Aoki is a great doctor.

September 09, 2013

I just wish I would have been treated like a professional athlete, not like a recreational jogger.

September 02, 2013

Dr. Aoki was attentive and willing to answer questions. I feel confident about my upcoming surgery because of this experience. I would recommend U of U ortho to anyone.

July 16, 2013

Again appreciated the way I was treated and explained what and where we would go next.

July 08, 2013

I have never met a doctor as professional, caring & kind as Dr. Aoki. He was very considerate & thoughtful while speaking in terms I could understand.

July 04, 2013

Dr. Aoki provided a thorough examination. He took the time to explain my condition and shared his recommendations. I left having confidence in his ability and his thoughtful plan for my recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Aoki

June 17, 2013

Wish we would have talked more about the physical therapy process.

June 03, 2013

I have already recommened to others

June 03, 2013

Dr. Aoki is such a great Dr. and person, that it was worth the wait. He comes highly recommended, is very sensitive to my needs and is good about referring me to someone else if he feels another physician is better suited/specialized to care for my needs. I can't remember the name of his resident, but he was very professional as well in his treatment of me and in explaining everything.

May 27, 2013

Dr. Aoki and his staff were just excellent! Although I never look forward to having surgery, I feel confident in him and his abilities. More than that, I can tell that he cares about his patients' well-being. He was very conscientious about giving me all of my options and letting me decide what I thought was best for me to do moving forward.

May 15, 2013

I find Dr. Aoki to be compassionate and knowledgeable. I am glad to have found a surgeon with an expertise in surgical techniques to correct hip impingements.

April 29, 2013

I think very highly of Dr. Aoki. He has the best bed side manners of any Dr I have seen.

April 23, 2013

I have already recommended the facility and staff to others who need Orthopaedic procedures.

April 22, 2013

Dr Aoki is amazing-my surgery went well. He was my second opinion before surgery & he won me over- he found the problem & issues that were causing my pain & was able to give me answers instead of guessing. I never feel that he is rushed & I know that he is busy but he takes time to make sure I understand & that I have all my questions answered.

April 15, 2013

Dr. Aoki is a real professional in that he spoke directly to me and my husband, did not talk down to us, and explained my condition and surgery fully, along with drawing a picture of my condition! He was very personable, introducing himself as Steven, not just doctor. He listened to our concerns and gave full answers. He did not seem to be in a hurry and spent time really getting to know me! I felt very attended to, as well as feeling like he totally cared about me, not just my condition, but me as a whole person! This is so key. I teach a class called Patient Education, and he was the best example of what a good healthcare provider is and should be! Thanks so much!!

April 11, 2013

Dr. Aoki is great. His explanations are great, he explains things in simple ways making easy for non-medically trained people to understand.

March 25, 2013

I felt that the activity or use of my leg for physical activity was not well defined. I would like to have known better what my limitations are.

March 22, 2013

Dr. Aoki is an incredible doctor. I am very happy that I was referred to him. He gave me reassurance that my hip will continue to heal and I have every confidence in his course of treatment.

February 25, 2013

all questions were answered. Dr Aoki and staff were very helpful

February 20, 2013

Dr Aoki went above and beyond to help me with my hip. I am so thankful to have him as my doctor. I referred My friend is having surgery by him too.

September 10, 2012

August 27, 2012

Dr Steven Aoki is great!

August 06, 2012

Dr Aoki is such a good doctor and seems to care so much about his patients.

July 22, 2012

Dr. Aoki was great

July 16, 2012

Again, the wait time seems excessive. We all have schedules to keep. We have been most appreciative of Dr. Aoki and would definitely use him again, but there must be a way to allow him the time he needs with patients. We have never been to the clinic with

July 02, 2012

He is wonderful. I appreciated that he spoke to me as a normal person and was down to earth. His fellow was very nice - diagnosis by fellow had me a little worried but when he showed up and moved forward and knew my problem and was incredibly helpful -

June 12, 2012

I feel like the Doctor talked more to the resident about what was going on with me than he did to me. Other than that everything was great.

May 17, 2012

VERY impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 10, 2012

Dr. Aoki is an amazing physician. I could not ask for a better caring, passionate clinician.

May 03, 2012

Love Dr. Aoki. I will come to him again if I have any further problems.

April 26, 2012

Even thought it was late in the day and they were way behind schedule I really appreciated that I didn't feel rushed by the providers (Dr. Aoki, etc.) I feel like if I'd had a half-hour worth of questions (I didn't) they would have taken half-hour to address them!

April 12, 2012

Dr Aoki was A+, but unfortunately, if his nurse Anna is involved, I will not recommend anyone to this facility. My friends and family deserve more care and understanding from their provider.

April 12, 2012

Dr. Aoki is a wonderful physician. He takes the time to explain any procedure and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking orthopedic assistance.

March 29, 2012

Always a good experience once I get to see the doctor. Sometimes I have to reschedule if I can't wait for a long time, but Dr Aoki is worth "some" wait. Very kind and really cares

March 22, 2012

I would like to have spent more time discussing possible other causes to my pain. I am not 100% convinced my current pain is not absolutely caused by the hip impingement.

March 01, 2012

Dr. Aoki is wonderful. Always takes the time to explain things and answer questions. I feel comfortable with him and that he really cares about me and getting to feel better/normal again.

March 01, 2012

Dr. Aoki made me feel like a friend, not just a patient. He is very skilled and knowledgable. I think he is a great Surgeon, very good at people skills.

February 02, 2012

At the high prices we pay for medical help, a person should be able to see a doctor at the appointed time, as well as not feel like since they are behind they are rushing you along.

January 26, 2012

Dr Aoki is one of the most caring doctors I have ever seen!

January 12, 2012

Dr. Aoki is great; I would gladly recommend him to anyone. He is the third surgeon I have seen for my condition and he is the only one I have full confidence in. I wish his schedule permitted me to have my surgery in less than 90 days, however.

January 12, 2012

Dr. Aoki is the best. He took time to find out how i was doing, how my orthopedic problem was doing, and then he addressed new concerns. He did a physical exam and gave me excellent diagnostic approach to my problem.
