I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Junkins....he's so sweet, caring and loves his job. He has so much going on but he makes the time and effort to listen to me and we discuss my plan of care. I'm so glad I found the pain clinic and especially Dr. Junkins

November 10, 2016

This unscheduled trip for a follow up post surgical lower extremity nerve block was seamless in all ways. Dr. Junkins over booked me into the clinic. I was greeted upon arrival by Tammy, met at that time by MA Tracy and escorted back to the procedure room, where I was made comfortable by Monica, RN. At that same time Dr. Junkins and fellows Dr. Dan Odell and Dr. Ozudogru greeted me and the explained the nerve block, and after Monica secured IV access for my safety if needed, the Doctors effortlessly provided the nerve block. This was an excellent and beyond level 5 outcome, as I had total pain control for the following 36 hours, and did not require any opioids during this time period. This is a finely run team, who with certainty have patient comfort and care far beyond my expectation.

October 22, 2016

Dr. Junkins is the best....

July 31, 2016

need more communication, more time to ask questions, more explanation

June 23, 2016

Dr. Rachel Allen and Dr. Scott Junkins are the best MDs and love their jobs. They really care about you as a PERSON and take the time to be with you and talk about anything and everything.

May 23, 2016

Dr. Junkins is very through & very likable. He really cares about me & how things are going.

April 16, 2016

The only reason I wouldn't recommend is because of the difficulty of getting to see when when I need to. But when I see him he is great.

April 08, 2016

I don't like th to talk down to me as I pretty much know what's going on

March 21, 2016

It was a little bit of a struggle this time around trying to communicate what plan we should come to together as I know he wanted to get out of there to get to a meeting. We did come up with a solution and a trial of meds to give a try and I feel confident in the mutual agreement that he and I both came too. I am just so glad that Junkins lets me be involved in MY care and not tell me what to do and not listen to me. He always takes the time to listen to me even if we get frustrated at each other sometimes a little but in the end it all works out :)

February 10, 2016

Dr. Junkins is very easy to talk with. He is thoughtful intelligent and kind. I have not met a person as concerned.

January 13, 2016

I'm still a little frustrated with the fact that I can't get the pain under control and we can't treat this completely through the pain clinic instead of having to deal with the ER. Wish I could convey my thoughts a little more clearly to the staff.....

January 11, 2016

The only reason I would ever Not recommend Dr Scott Junkins is because of the difficulty in getting in to see him. While I'm seeing him he goes above & beyond to help me with the situation I find myself in.

November 25, 2015

I would recommend Scott Junkins to anyone & everyone in need except for the problems with getting in to see him.

October 06, 2015

Dr. Junkins knows the answer to every question I ask and I feel like he has a genuine care for getting me back to a normal life. By far one of the best doctors I've had the opportunity of meeting with.

September 23, 2015

I've always had a positive experience with the pain clinic and their staff.

September 20, 2015

Can't say enough good things about the care providers at the Pain Clinic

June 12, 2015

Dr. Junkins and Tammy from Rehab are phenomenal to work with, and have repeatedly communicated in difficult circumstances with my insurance company. I brag about them to everyone I know.

June 09, 2015

Dr. Junkins and the fellows are so extremely thorough and take the time to explain questions that I have. They make sure I understand what they are taking about and especially with a trip I had coming up they wanted to make sure I knew how to manage my pain while I was out of town and how to secure my medications so they stayed safe. They were great! They act like you are the only patient when they have a lot of other patients at the same time! I know they want to make sure my pain and well being is handled in the exceptional care it should be. :)

April 28, 2015

I waited 45 minutes for the doctor to come in and see me after the pa came in. He wouldn't listen to what I had to say since he was so focused on one treatment plan and would not consider other options. Due to the poor care I felt I was getting I decided to go with another pain clinic and will not recommend anyone using this clinics services.

April 21, 2015

Dr Junkins is always great to work with. The PA who performed the injections was friendly and encouraged me to provide feedback to him during the procedure. Dr. Junkins came in and talked to my wife about the procedure, which helped calm her. My PT, Dangerfield, was also very friendly (as usual) and worked with me for any updates and suggested some ideas.

April 12, 2015

Junkins is very arrogant.

March 02, 2015

March 02, 2015

Care provider = the Dr that did the actual procedure. He seemed very skilled but not concerned about my questions at all.

February 23, 2015

Too bad Ryan is moving back to his home state....we could use him as another anesthesiologist here at the U of U and as always...Scott is the best of the best. They both answer my questions and never hold back and are always willing to address anything I want to know or am curious about.

February 09, 2015

Ryan and Junkins are always amazing and caring and take the time to explain things when I ask them questions. They show concern and kindness. They don't ever act hurried.

December 29, 2014

These ratings are for Dr Junkins who was great to work with like he usually is! It was the doctor who came in before him I didn't care for. He seem rushed with his answers, a little snooty, and rude at times. I did care for how he veiwed me and his tones of voice he would use towards me. I would rate him as fair all the way across the board.

December 06, 2014

September 10, 2014

Dr. Junkins is great!

September 05, 2014

Dr. Junkins is a phenomenal provider and my experience is always a positive and productive one. The system, however, is broken. With the number of patients the University demands be seen at the clinic, no provider can possibly spend enough time with an individual patient! Dr. Junkins, nevertheless, provides excellent care in the time allowed him.

September 01, 2014

The waiting time was excessive.

August 16, 2014

dr Junkins is a very poor communicator. he is not able to make direct statements, questions or explain how he came to conclusions. a great deal of time has been wasted by this communication style

July 22, 2014

The doctor(s) and PT were all very helpful. They showed sincere concern to help me resolve my foot pain and get me walking again.

June 25, 2014

yes I would recommend it

June 22, 2014

This appointment went much better than the last appointment I had. I actually feel like I was listened to this time and a plan for my care going forward is taking shape.

June 09, 2014

I love that we are a team working together to get this disease and pain under control. Thank you for allowing me to be part of the decision making. I appreciate you listening when I have concerns or have found different/new ways of coping with the pain.

June 07, 2014

superb in every way, shape, and form.

May 27, 2014

knowledge, bedside manner, and friendliness where all top notch.

May 19, 2014

I was seen by a Physician, a PT, a student and someone else in a very small room. I had no idea I would be asked to disrobe and feel that there was little concern about my being covered. Very setting!! and I was not pleased.

May 06, 2014

I am completely satisfied with the care that I receive from Dr. Junkins.

April 28, 2014

I am not quite sure what decisions have been made, or any changes in medication or any follow up plans.

April 21, 2014

This appointment was a complete waste of my time. My concerns were just swept aside. All he had to offer was another psychoactive drug when a big concern I had this appointment was difficulty getting off the one I'm on. He wouldn't even address another possibility that I brought up other than to tell me ask my primary care doctor.

April 01, 2014

Amount of quality time spent and patience in listening to me was extraordinary!

March 01, 2014

Dr. Junkins was excellent and spent enough time with me to answer all the questions and address concerns I had.

February 26, 2014

Better than any where I have been.

February 16, 2014

Dr. Junkins is good. The problem is the inordinate amount of time spent waiting. These delays are unacceptable as my time is worth something as well. Common courtesy in being on time would be much appreciated.

February 07, 2014

Very impressed with the care of this team. After many different doctors I think I finally found one that can help me.

February 06, 2014

Someone needs to convince Dr. Joyal to stay with the pain clinic. He's AMAZING and so is Dr. Junkins who treats you like his own family and is always so nice and takes a lot of time to explain questions and concerns

January 26, 2014

Dr. Junkins is always so happy and so caring

January 26, 2014

Good Experience. I am completely satisfied that I shall get good treatment

January 13, 2014

I have a wonderful working relationship with Dr. Junkins. We work together as a team to decide the best care for me and for the disease I have. It is great to be part of the solution and be listened to.

December 28, 2013

During procedure the two doctors were talking shop. Very little interaction between them and me. I know they are busy but the pt. needs to be the focus. Even if there is some general talking. ie the weather the holiday something other than what how they want to do research. Which is important too. But on their break or outside the room.

December 28, 2013

When I arrive I have been fasting which is difficult for me because of my medications and condition. I asked if they could use a numbing agent before the IV was given but it was not used or even considered. I was not told why I needed an IV in the first place and I was frustrated that they could not get it into the vein. This doctor did not help explain what was going on and I lost confidence in his ability.

December 24, 2013

The Pain Clinic Team that I worked with were all great and it was a very good experience.

November 11, 2013

both dr. that I saw spent more time with me than there are numbers for on your survey. they explained everything to me, giving me options for treatment. I was very impressed with both of them and will see them again.

November 11, 2013

Dr Junkin's is the bomb!

October 24, 2013

Dr. Joyall was really super nice! and as always Dr. Junkins is the most amazing man and spends such good time with you even though he has other patients!

October 01, 2013

Dr Junkins and Dr Becker are fantastic! They could see there was a problem and were very concerned and made arrangements for a treatment that wasn't scheduled. It was late in the day on Friday and they were more than willing to stay late to help. Verymappreciated

September 23, 2013

I am very pleased overall with my experiences at the pain clinic. everyone works together to come up with solutions to help me manage and treat my pain. I am especially pleased with my physical therapist. she is not only very knowledgable, but has extreme compassion for my emotional well being.

September 09, 2013

unfortunately the doc was in the middle of procedures when the front desk staff scheduled my appointment so I didn't get to ask him the questions I wanted to and the resident didn't quite answer the questions I asked

August 13, 2013

I was a bit frustrated as I felt like Dr. Junkins was focused more on my range of motion than pain.

July 02, 2013

Dr. Junkins is the bomb....what can I say? :)

June 04, 2013

Dr Junkins has become one of my favorites doctors to work with. He is kind and patient. He has great energy to be around and is very respectful of what I am feeling as a patient.

June 04, 2013

would have liked to had the written information before had about my procedure that was given to me after the fact. I really felt that this would have been so helpful in my anxiety that I had. The information was on the other side of the paper that I was given after the procedure of a spinal injection.

May 01, 2013

I appreciate knowing that we are working together as a team for the best care for me personally. Dr. Junkins is fantastic and I appreciate his kindness and gentle manner. I feel complete confidence in his care. I appreciate being part of the solution and the honesty in which I am treated.

March 29, 2013

The only difficulty I experienced during my last lidocaine infusion visit was that Dr. Junkins wanted me to return in five weeks; however, I do not think he was aware he would not be in the office that week. When I went to the front desk to schedule my next infusion appointment, I was told Dr. Junkins would be on leave in five weeks and was only given appointment dates in six weeks. Once again, the only appointment times offered were midday on a Tuesday and Friday.

March 12, 2013

Not accustomed to such great communication from the provider. I felt that had more than adiquate time to address ALL of my quesitons.

February 24, 2013

Dr Junkins and Dr Winter are both some of my very favorite doctors. I have many doctors in my life.

February 08, 2013

Dr. Junkins has tried to alleviate problems adding to my stress. He is a very caring physician and I feel we are making progress.

January 21, 2013

Dr. Junkins is one of the good guys - he and Dr. Lindt are so good to work with.

January 01, 2013

Dr. Junkins, Dr. Etringer, Lynn (my team), and Chris were all so helpful and empathic as I struggled with a difficult situation which seems to exacerbate my pain level greatly. They helped me stay calmer and offered a helping hand that was 'sorely' needed. Lynn worked with both my leg and shoulder pain; the positive difference with my shoulder this week was very surprising.

December 18, 2012

Dr. Scott Junkins is the best physician. He is always listening to any concerns, and I always leave feeling I have had all of my concerns addressed.

December 18, 2012

Things are much improved. They have shown concern for my concerns and have really tried to meet the needs that have been expressed.

December 13, 2012

With Drs Pittman and Junkins, I wish there was a higher value than Very Good. These doctors are very caring, very attentive and seem genuinely concerned with your well-being.

December 10, 2012

I'm at a point that my pain medications are occasionally not good enough for my pain and I am having breakthrough pain. I voiced my concerns but didn't get any real answers.

December 10, 2012

My provider is excellent and actually spends additional time with me due to the complicated nature of my condition.

December 10, 2012

I received excellent care during my lidocaine infusion and the nurse also explained things to my husband in a way he could understand what was occurring.

November 16, 2012

Dr. Junkins is just the best. He is kind, attentive, thoughtful, informative, and patient. I am so fortunate to be in his care!

October 04, 2012

i am so appreciative of being part of the Pain management clinic. They are so skilled and really know what they are doing. I have received wonderful care here. . Dr. Junkins is just great. He cares about his patients and takes time to explain things to you. I love so much the whole concept of the overall group treatment. i have struggled for 16 years and they are giving me a new way of life.

October 01, 2012

excellent medical help. Very compassionate about the problem,

September 17, 2012

Dr. Junkins has excellent communication skills and is an outstanding physician.

August 30, 2012

Dr. Junkins is and always has been great he works diligently with me to come up with a solid plan.

July 18, 2012

Dr. Junkins seems kind and caring, and that he is competent. I don't know what else to say about him in that this was my first appointment.

July 16, 2012

All the providers at the pain clinic are amazing!! They have been there for me whenever I need. I have a disease called RSD. There is no cure, but some treatments to put you into remission hopefully. Respectively I have waited for years to try a treatm

June 25, 2012

Thanks Dr. Junkins. You really helped me out with a ton of questions I had about my pain control and helping me to understand what I can do about my upcoming surgeries pain control wise!

May 01, 2012

I don't really have a treatment plan yet so I'm not sure about my answer.

April 25, 2012

I had been feeling uncertain and worried, but Dr. Junkins made me feel like my treatment plan was the 100 percent best way for me to go. I left feeling better than I came. Thank you.

April 11, 2012

It was nice to have doctors that seem to really listen. I felt comfortable enough to open up and share some fears I have, I believe the doctors really LISTEN, at least I felt like I'd been heard

March 03, 2012

Dr Junkins is very competent, patient, knowledgeable and communicative.
