Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah (U of U) announces Ashlee Harrison, MPA, as executive director of innovation and transformation.

The Innovation and Transformation Office supports Huntsman Cancer Institute’s efforts to advance bold new initiatives. The office works with intention to shape culture, support long-term planning, take on new challenges with agility, and accelerate Huntsman Cancer Institute’s progress toward its vision of a cancer-free frontier. Harrison will serve as a key partner to leaders as Huntsman Cancer Institute works to accelerate its impact in service of patients and the community.

Harrison has served at Huntsman Cancer Institute for 14 years. For the past five years, she has overseen the communications and public affairs teams, working in partnership with Huntsman Cancer Foundation, U of U Health, and many others to implement a communications strategy via internal communications, web development, media relations, public relations, in-house design, and more. She serves as the government relations liaison for Huntsman Cancer Institute, facilitating engagement with key elected officials in the state and region and advancing policy priorities aligned with our mission. She received her master of public administration at the University of Southern California and a bachelor of science in economics at the University of Utah. Prior to her role at Huntsman Cancer Institute, she served on the staff of United States Senator Orrin Hatch in Washington, D.C.
