SALT LAKE CITY - Industrialist and philanthropist Jon M. Huntsman, Sr. announced the appointment of Peter R. Huntsman as Chief Executive Officer of both Huntsman Foundation and Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
Huntsman Foundation is a private family foundation founded by Jon and Karen Huntsman. The foundation supports cancer research, public education, higher education, the underserved, and programs that serve the homeless and women and children. Huntsman Cancer Foundation is a public charity established in 1995 to support the groundbreaking cancer research taking place at Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). Today, Huntsman Cancer Foundation enjoys the support of hundreds of thousands of donors who value the importance of cancer research. Thanks to generous underwriting from the Jon M. Huntsman family, 100% of donations contributed to the cancer foundation go directly to support Huntsman Cancer Institute.

In addition to assuming leadership roles for the philanthropy of the Huntsman family and Huntsman Cancer Foundation, Peter Huntsman has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Huntsman Corporation since July 2000. Prior to his appointment in July 2000 he served in various capacities with Huntsman companies since 1983.
Mr. Peter Huntsman also serves on the Board of the Montgomery County Women's Shelter, the Interfaith of The Woodlands (the largest interdenominational charity in the State of Texas), the board of the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, the Board of Overseers for The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and serves on various boards at Brigham Young University, the University of Utah and Utah State University.
