Bio

Tooran Lavasani is currently a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She is primarily involved in patient care but also has had the opportunity to teach and be involved in research. Prior to this, she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City for three years. She also served as a Nursing Faculty member at the Salt Lake Community College for five years. Her experience also includes working as a Registered Nurse in ICU, CCU, and other units. After receiving her BS degree in Nursing , Lavasani earned her MSN in Adult Physiology from the University of Utah. She continued her studies at the University of Utah and received her FNP degree in 2000.
