She received her Master’s degree and nurse practitioner certification at the University of Utah. In 2008, Ms. Serpico joined the division with a specialty in the area of breast surgery and diseases. Ms. Serpico provides comprehensive care for those patients with breast cancer, benign breast disease, and surgical patients.
Ms. Serpico has an educational background that includes women’s health, nutrition, emergency and surgical nursing. She also is instrumental in educating nurses, medical students, and residents in treating the surgical breast oncology patient and she also participates in research and program development.
Ms. Serpico spearheaded development of the breast cancer educational video in collaboration with Dr. Neumayer, which has led to hospital wide implementation of this method of patient education. She is the primary investigator for the Shared Decision Making Breast Video Project and is participating in a UUMG project to devise an antiemetic protocol for patients that are undergoing mastectomy with reconstruction.
Ms. Serpico feels that the work she has done with Dr. Neumayer is especially rewarding as it allows for so many opportunities to improve the quality of patients’ lives that are undergoing treatment for breast cancer and survivorship.

This was my last visit with the surgeon who did my mastectomy. She was out of town, so I saw her assistant, Victoria. She spent a lot of time with me, and answered all the questions I had, and was a very good listener while we talked about my new challenge.UofU Patient January 21, 2014
Heidi, Rn and Victoria are so well suited to this institution; they are not only compassionate but also swift in co=ordinating radiology and doctors. I am impressed , as always. Huntsman is #1 in my book.UofU Patient January 10, 2014
Victoria Serpico has always been very good with my followup visits. She pays attention to the concerns that may develop with my treatments as well as the continued following of the surgical area. She takes extra time to explain the issues and risks. I have felt confident seeing her when Dr Neumeyer was not available, and will miss further followup visits with these doctors, but hope to not need any more surgery! I am comfortable having all my followup visits with Dr Buys office.UofU Patient January 09, 2014
Victoria Serpico was amazing. she even called me after my appt w/plastic surgeon to answer/clarify anything I was concerned aboutUofU Patient January 05, 2014
NP seemed rushed, had already developed an agenda prior to entering the exam room, until we stopped her to discuss the options, we weren't included in the decision making process. After we expressed a desire to discuss options and a plan, she was very good at explaining what her concerns wrre about the suspected cancer. She kept questioning about a prior hospitalization even after being told that we were told that it was resolved, but never revealed why she was concerned.UofU Patient December 26, 2013

My husband and I left my initial appointment feeling informed about my condition and that we were NOT rushed through my visit. The education provided to us about a subject we were clueless about was much appreciated and helped to put us at ease.UofU Patient September 05, 2013

Victoria Serpeco, NP, has been there for me since Day One last October. She has brought understanding, insight, solutions and encouragement to each problem I have faced. Her sincerity, knowledge and caring have been the biggest help I have received.UofU Patient April 15, 2013
I have continually been impressed by the level of both care and respect I am given at Hunstman. I come once a year to have a mammogram and meet with Dr Neumayer or Victoria Serpico. For my mammograms, I personally request Shelley. she is so warm and caring. we have developed a friendship through the years. I couldn't ask for better service. Huntsman is a first class facility and I am forever grateful to be under their care.UofU Patient March 18, 2013
