About

The annual Utah Amyloidosis Support Group in Salt Lake City is provided by Amyloidosis Support Groups, Inc. in conjunction with the Utah Amyloidosis Program. We welcome patients, family members, friends, and anyone else effected by amyloidosis to join us. Group discussions, presentations and Q & A will focus on topics related to amyloidosis as well as caregiver concerns. The majority of topics will focus on AL Amyloidosis and TTR Amyloidosis (hereditary and age-related) but topics surrounding other diagnoses of amyloidosis will be discussed as well. Complementary breakfast and lunch will be provided courtesy of the Utah Amyloidosis Program.

All are welcome to participate but pre-registration is required by one of two options:

Parking

Parking is available directly in front of the Primary Children’s and Families’ Cancer Research Center in the outdoor strip parking. Do not park in stalls marked as 24-hour reserved.

This parking lot can be accessed by driving up North Medical Drive past University Hospital and taking the next right in front of the parking terrace. Go straight past the Clinical Neurosciences Center and stay left where the road will curve back into a parking lot directly in front of the Primary Children’s and Families’ Cancer Research Center.

Otherwise, visitors are welcome to park in the patient parking terrace however be aware that the walk will take approximately 5-10 minutes from this location.

3rd Utah Amyloidosis Symposium

The objective of the Utah Amyloidosis Symposium is to develop a forum that will catalyze, advocate, and provide education that promotes change, development and improvement for the early diagnosis and management of amyloidosis.
