The care provider covered the basics of what information he needed, but I don't feel like he explained anything related to my condition or concerns. I understand that he wanted and needed updated testing, but details of that testing were not explained either. I voiced concerns that I had care I had received up until this appointment. The doctor listened but I don't feel like my input was really taken into consideration. I feel like he had already decided what my problem was and how he wanted to treat it without my input or the updated testing. I even question whether or not he received or read testing completed outside of the University of Utah health care system.

Dr. Benjamin A. Steinberg is the most thorough Physician I have been involved with. With my issues, we have worked very close together, methodically work through the procedures in an expeditious manner, and I never felt rushed. I fell the care providers do not follow up on the patients home life because of condition. instead of asking. What do you do all day? Which never gets answered. They should ask specific questions. Like, do you exercise, how? House chores indoors/outdoors? Go shopping how long for? Then help set up a simple activity schedule for the patient. I feel this would help the patient get over the fear of their medical condition. Which in ___'s situation ,who is my wife, is slowing her life down.

Dr. Steinberg isn't the most compassionate doctor I've had. He has been better in the past, but on this day, he had two additional people with him, which I didn't like, so he was very rushed and honestly made me feel like he didn't care if I lived or died. But, he's the best you've got, so I'll let his competence outweigh his personality.
