  • Paulina Gudgell, MSN, APRN, ACNP-BC has been practicing in the department of Cardiology as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) since 2010. She began practicing in the specialty of Cardiac Electrophysiology, where she practiced for 1.5 years treating patients with a variety of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, with a special focus on atrial fibrillation, also pacemakers and defibrillators. She then transitioned to General Cardiology, where she is able to serve a wider variety of patients with many cardiovascular conditions. Paulina is also passionate about educating patients on prevention of cardiovascular diseases through lifestyle changes.
    Prior to her career as an NP, Paulina worked for 6 years as a Registered Nurse in the inpatient Cardiovascular unit, taking care of patients with a variety of cardiac conditions, patients with heart transplants, patients with left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), as well as post cardiothoracic surgery patients.

    Treat patient with no concern talk down to them not to them.does not listen with concern.will never deal with this again telling people how I was treated and not to go there.short of any bedside manor..

    Paulina is a totally competent & knowledgeable professional. Her assessment skills are very good & her interviewing skills are thorough. She expressed personal concern for my health & made good critical decisions about my plan of care & gave thorough understandable explanations of what we were going to do about my elevated BP & yet she knew when to refer me to the care of the heart failure team.
