Stacy Phillips has been a studio artist in the Salt Lake City area for more than 20 years. After growing up in northern California, she moved across the country, where she earned a degree in fine arts and business from Keene State College in New Hampshire. She landed in Park City, Utah, where she opened the Flat Rabbit Gallery but later sold it to pursue a studio practice. Her work has been shown across the country, with several solo and group gallery exhibitions in New York, Utah, and California. Phillips is grateful to be at HCI and loves working with the compassionate, progressive team in the Wellness and Integrative Health Center. She believes that art is healing and wants to help facilitate a safe space for patients, caregivers, and staff to experience art as expression. Pablo Picasso said it best: "The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls."
