Matthew A. Szadkowski, MD

  • Dr. Szadkowski received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. After also completing his pediatric residency at the University of Wisconsin, he finished fellowship training in pediatric emergency medicine at the University of Utah. He then joined the faculty at Primary Children's Hospital in 2016 as an assistant professor. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

    His clinical interests focus on ultrasound teaching and training of medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty. He is a strong advocate for the use of ultrasound in limited-resource settings and has been involved in training providers in rural sites across Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. He also is involved with our PEM Global Health fellows in determining novel applications for ultrasound use as well as ultrasound quality assurance with partner sites in Africa.
