  • Heather Van Loon, PA-C, graduated with her Master’s Degree from the University of New England’s Physician Assistant program in 2012. Since that time she has been working with oncology patients in various settings including outpatient community oncology, bone marrow transplant and acute leukemia services, and inpatient medical oncology. She feels a great respect for the emotional and physical hardships of cancer care and is honored to work with her patients and their families. Heather is driven to continue her medical education and enjoys the daily learning and challenges that are a part of clinical work.

    In addition to her work at Huntsman Cancer Institute Heather represents advanced practice clinicians as a board member of the nonprofit group SUMO, the Society of Utah Medical Oncologists, and she is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Heather has a passion for exercise, health and wellness and she has a bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. She enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and their two dogs Susy and Luna in the mountains of Utah hiking, biking, skiing and running.
