  • Graduated from Kharkiv Medical University (Medical School), Ukraine, in 1981, earned an MD degree. Internship, then surgery residency. Worked as a staff surgeon in the University-affiliated hospital 1982-1986. Completed Ph.D research work and obtained a degree of Ph.D. The topic of Ph.D research and thesis was " Extracorporeal hemoperfusion through activated charcoal column for detoxification purpose in ESLD patients" . Was invited to work in the multi-profile ICU Department in the Trauma and Emergency Hospital. New research: "Use of plasmapheresis for acute immunocorrection in sepsis and septic shock". Founded the Extracorporeal detoxification & dialysis subdivision.

    1990: immigration to Israel. 1991-1997: Anesthesia & Critical care residency, 1997-Board Certification: Anesthesiology & Critical Care. 1997-2000 worked as an Attending Anesthesiologist in the Itzack Shamir University Hospital. Lecturer for Sackler Medical School, University of Tel Aviv on topics of Applied physiology and pharmacology. 2000-2003: Anesthesiologist-in Charge , Mayanei Ihegoshua Private Hospital, affiliated with Dep. of Anesthesiology, Sackler Medical School, University of Tel Aviv. ECFMG exams 2002.

    2003-2006: Attending Anesthesiologist, Dep. of Anesthesiology, ; based in Harborview Medical Center, Trauma 1 level. 4 lectures for CA-1 and CA-2 on selected topics.

    2006- 2022, June 30: Attending Anesthesiologist, Associate Professor, University of Washington, Seattle; based in the University of Washington Medical Center. 2013-2021: Director, Transplant Anesthesia subdivision/team. 4 lectures yearly, tutoring, adviser for CA-2 and CA-3.

    A total of 57 different level publications, including articles in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, review articles, abstracts, thesis, 2 patents, and more. Presented the research results in scientific meetings in the USA and 6 European countries.
