Dr. Foster was very thorough and communicative through the entire process from consultations to the procedure and post care. He made sure I was on the same page with him and would ask questions to make sure I understood everything. I felt very taken care of by him and the assisting staff. He's busy, so book him asap!
Thanks for a good visit.
Dr Foster showed compassion and caring. He got me out of pain in that one visit . What a relief.
I'll be very brief. The doctor told me that he had never seen my case or problem in his professional work with any patient. He said that if the pain continues, because I still have it every day, or if I experience other complications with my hand, I should see him again. I just want a new appointment with another doctor at the Center (SLC) to get a second opinion. [TRANSLATED]
I have been blessed to have Dr. Foster in my life.
Excellent manner. Took time to explain the options
Fabulous Doctor - he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful!
The doctor was right to the point, great "bed side" temperment. So impessive.
Not only añ excellent surgeon, but he is incredibly personable. He actually is the Dr I saw at all my follow up appointments. I have found this is not the case with most surgeons. I also had some complications with my first surgery and then with my hand's reaction to the second surgery. I was scared, in pain and a touch frustrated (I blame my red hair). Dr. Foster explained. Why I needed a second surgery and put me at ease and explained why I had a reaction to the second. Also he personally spoke to my hand therapist before my appointment and had explained my situation and what he needed them to do. The whole team is amazing. I am lucky he took my insurance:) I highly recommend Dr. Foster, his team and their Hand Therapy team.
He gave me a lot of confidence. [TRANSLATED]
Dr. Foster is a very caring and skilled surgeon. His bedside manner is very personable and he listens very well.
I was not informed of the actual condition of the healing until I read the report the following day. I do not consider Foster to be considering the value of my career and my lifestyle in a respectable manner in relation to the functional needs of how this wrist heals.
Dr Foster is diligent, prompt and efficient. Very nice doctor.
First Impression - very nice
Dr. Foster is a genuine, caring surgeon. He takes into consideration other aspects of their life in deciding what is the best road forward for treatment.
It is rare to find a skilled, intelligent, hardworking surgeon who treats patients with warm care and concern. I am grateful he was on call when I needed emergency surgery from a mountain fall. Thanks to him I still have the use of both hands, and he has been vigilant with follow-up care and shows the same warmth and interest in good results.
I wanted an open-minded doctor and he fits that need to accommodate my chemical reactions
dr. Foster was excellent, but I cannot write a whole lot here with my non-dominant hand. I would give him as many stars as our possible. He was great.
I was very impressed with Dr.Foster. He was very personable and made me fell at ease.
He was great. Very communicative and very personable. I'm very happy with the care I received from him and his and his team.
Highly recommend Dr. Foster! Great bed side manner and very thorough!
Knew his stuff.
You are awesome.
He very good doctor
Totally Outstanding by EVERY Measure & Standard.
Dr. Foster was responsive in every respect. He explained things in a very clear way and took the time to answer any questions I had he was excellent.
By far, Dr. Foster is simply the best.
Very good doctor
Focused on getting a brace but not addressing issues in both hands
Dr. Brian Foster is truly awesome!!! Highly recommend him
Clear, concise factual explanations of cause and effect for my diagnosis. Very thorough and without skepticism or doubt.
Dr Foster seems to truly care about his patient and it is obvious how much he enjoys his work. In healthcare today, too often time spent with patients becomes abbreviated as administrative checklists demand more time. Not with Dr Foster and his incredible team.
Dr Foster was very attentive and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend him.
very professinol and cares very much about his patients and his priorties are very important to those who needed it the most
Was very effective and direct.
This was my first interaction with Dr Foster. Like most doctors, Dr. Foster gets right to the point, but I immediately felt at ease as we spoke, and was confident in the decisions that were made during my visit. What impressed me most, perhaps, were the favorable comments made by his staff. One nurse stated that Dr. Foster would be the one she would want to perform a surgery should she ever require one. That speaks volumes.
Dr. Foster included me in the diagnosis process and thoroughly and clearly explained my options.
Cant dobetter. Period.
He's caring and considerate. I felt safe and in good hands.
great
I think it's a quality of being human. He explained the entire procedure to me and I felt confident with his surgery.
Dr. Foster is very knowledgeable
Clearly explained procedure. Follow up apt. reviewed x-rays etc. explained in detail my surgery and reviewed my recovery progress. He has been amazing.
Very knowledgeable and explained options in detail. Provided a great wrist brace and did a steroid injection which proved to significantly improve my pain.
He as a doctor I am amazed at his skills. I am grateful to him...
Excellent in all regards
Foster was dismissive, or at least came across that way, of the pain I have in my hands. I explained that it has increased in pain over the last few months. His care advice was to take anti-inflamatory, which I stated I am already doing and it isn't helping. He showed no concern for helping me solve my problem.
Sure he is a good doctor. Just not for me.
Excellent bed side manner. Explained procedure well. Very personable.
Very good Brian Kenneth Foster MD
Thank you very much, Dr Foster, you are a very great care taker, Thank you for being my special Doctor
Dr. Brian Foster! What an awesome surgeon and human, I've never had a doctor with better bedside manner. He truly cares and it shows through every interaction! I feel lucky that he was my surgeon!
Dr. Foster listens and wants the best care possible for the individual. He doesn't just run in and out and treat you like a number to be processed. He has a wonderful beside manner in assertion to being an excellent doctor.
He showed me the X-rays from July 2025 and from two years ago, explaining what he thought the ER thought was a break.
Dr Foster was kind and knowledgeable regarding the condition I have. He took the time to explain the procedure I am considering, including the costs and benefits. I was very pleased with the visit and always appreciate the expertise of the orthopedic center. We are fortunate to have this resource in Salt Lake City.
Excellent doctor
A great doctor that really listens to you. Dr. Foster makes sure you understand your treatment plan.
Dr. Foster is awesome, kind, cares for the patients and knows how to be funny at the right times.
I really appreciated Dr Foster's clear and straightforward communication about issues and options.
For anyone experiencing a traumatic injury i would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Foster to care for them.
Professional
He helped me understand what I needed to do and cared about my recovery so I could do things like cheer and tumbling!
Very professional and caring. Will recommend to family and friends
I had a traumatic accident and was fortunate to be treated by this caring, smart, detail oriented, energetic Dr. I'm hoping for good results, but feel confident in his skill as a hand surgeon!!
Friendly, knowledgeable. Enjoys what he does.
This was a trauma surgery, and I was very concerned about the expertise of a surgeon stepping in without prior knowledge or ability to get other opinions. I was extremely nervous about the surgery on both wrists, but he was professional, personable, but far more important was his surgical skill. Follow up has been very good, so we are hoping for the best possible outcome.
Brian Foster was very personable and efficient. I felt truly cared for and involved when it came to the situation at hand. Thank you for making me feel at ease and reassuring me that I was in great hands.
Our conversations were very understanding, but also very professional
Great professional knowledge and personal skills.
Highly recommend! Down to Earth, kind and well informed.
I appreciated Dr Foster's kindness and the way he explains what he thinks we need to do next.
Even though it seemed as though that day was a very busy day, he totally took the high road and shared with me the imagery where my problem lay's, And proceeded to explain a less evasive procedure that I wasnÕt even aware of, I had the same problem with my other hand, and I was never received such informative knowledge about my entire situation as a whole as I did with, Dr. Foster. THANK YOU and very much appreciated NOT being treated like cattle in a Shute.
I like how he preformed an ultrasound in the office visit.
My visit with Dr. Foster was actually fun.
Brian is an excellent surgeon, great communicator, intent listener.
Up to date academic knowledge and personal professional skills.
Professional, educated, friendly
Dr. Foster was excellent! I was injured on a 3-day weekend and had no hopes of seeing anyone for weeks. To my surprise, Dr. Foster could see me on Tuesday after the injury and I was in surgery on Thursday. He provided accurate information about the surgery, recovery, and potential issues. Everything he told me was realized and I knew exactly what to expect. The surgery and follow ups were easy. After our follow up appointment, I was walked over to Hand Therapy, where I met other experts to continue my healing. Ron was especially helpful providing compassionate, optimistic care with simple exercises to increase movement in my hand. Now, 9 weeks past the original injury, I'm healed, have 90% motion returned, and I'm without pain. Thank you Dr. Foster and Ron!
Doctor Foster is an excellent physician and person.
Excellent, professional and kind.
Cutting edge knowledge and great communication skills.
