My appointment felt super rushed and I've honestly never felt so completely dismissed and unheard by a provider. I've been in pain for years. Great doctor. I should have listened to him on my first appt. He said I needed surgery but I put it off 6 to 9 weeks then had the surgery. If I had listened to my doctor I probably would be healed by now.
We have never heard from him after the surgery not sure what was done or how it went.

Dr. Thomas was awesome! Dr. Thomas was so detailed about an issue I had been having for 2 years and prior to Dr. Thomas hadn't been offered anything other than cortizone which was a temporary fix. I finally asked for an MRI and was told I didn't need surgery although my rotator cuff was torn and my bicep. I asked if I could see another doctor. That is when Dr. Thomas entered the picture. He explained that the issue would only get worse and although I am 62, I am still very active but was limited by the tear in my rotator cuff. He explained that I was probably at a good point to get the surgery with good health to recover well. I never had excruciating pain, just some aching which seemed to subside very quickly. I expected to have a much harder time with the recovery based on talking with others. I was happily surprised that everything went so smooth and felt fairly back to normal at about 6 weeks, then with great PT at 9 weeks I have almost full rang

This day he was less rushed, was approachable and kindly answered questions about my concerns and future prognosis. I was told to be there at 7:15 for a 7:30. They were a full hour late. Granted it had snowed, but not acceptable. Second, since they were behind, the physician was rushed. He didn't listen to me and was I feel misdiagnosed me. He seemed happy to do surgery if I was game but when I said no and tried to help him understand what was going on with my injury, he didn't seem to really listen. The MA was helpful, but I won't be back to this clinic.

Since I'm 75 years old he knows I get a little nervous if I think I overdid a certain exercise and reassures me that everything is fine. I appreciate his gentleness in working on my shoulders, back and arm. He challenged me to stop taking NSAIDs which I've done and headaches have subsided. Only use Tylenol. He's an asset to the University of Utah Orthopedic Dept. Also I like Dr. Monson and his assistant Tyson. They are an asset as well. Would not want anyone else. They've all helped me so much over the last few years.

Dr. Thomas is an excellent and professional physician. He answered all my questions and explained the next steps in my care. He is a fine surgeon and did a great job. In all my surgical history this experience was more than I could have imagined. It's been a miracle !! Hardly any pain and I am having great success with physical therapy. Dr. Thomas provided me with pictures taken during the procedure and explained each step. It was interesting and enlightening. I told all my family and friends about him and my physical therapy with Lee Skinner. He also explained the pictures and gives me exercise print-outs at every visit. I/we love the Farmington Health Clinic. They have improved our lives so much and is only a mile or so from our home. Dr Thomas is my favorite care provider. He is down to earth, personable and , listens carefully to my questions. I appreciate that he has proceeded carefully, using the least invasive treatment first.
The Doctor was excellent. I had bben treated by him previously for a shoulder joint replacement and I will continue to seek treatment with him in the future.

My sister needs an orthopedic surgeon and I recommend Dr. THOMAS. However, when she called the main number, she was told Dr. Thomas didn't deal with fractures. I asked Dr. Thomas about this and he said that was untrue. My comment is to educate your representatives. If they're not sure what service is provided, send them directly to the orthopedic department.My sister is going with another doctor now and I feel upset that she could've seen Dr. Thomas, who in my opinion is the BEST!!! But unfortunately she was misinformed and in a sense turned away. :(

I have seen Dr. Thomas before for a different problem, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He's thorough, caring, really takes the time to explain things and show you exactly what he's seeing on an x-ray. He lays out the options, pros and cons, and involves you in the decision that you make together. An outstanding doctor!

Dr. Thomas was great at explaining what happened during my surgery and the pictures proved to be very helpful.
Dr. was miss informed by the V.A. of my condition. But when I explained the true condition of the situation, he listened intently, and actually investigated my claim, and found it to be true, and thanked me for being on top of every thing. It was taken care of with out a flaw.

Dr Thompson was amazing. I walked in there with knee pain and walked out in no pain. Right then and there he gave me a cortisone shot and I was able to walk without limping and without pain.
A X-ray was ordered and from what was seen on the X-ray a referral was sent for me to get a EMG up at the U Neorology Bldg.

Dr. Thomas is amazing. I've seen him for a variety of different things, and he is nothing short of great every time I see him. He always tells me what we can do about my injuries, and makes sure I know what is wrong with me before I leave.
Dr Thomas spent time showing me on my x-ray while explaining in detail the findings what they mean & how that is affecting me. He discussed possible treatments while addressing any questions I proposed.
Physical therapy was presented as an option for treatment. I initially accepted, but then decided later not to pursue it for personal reasons.

He was good about asking about my symptoms. We discussed the possibility of surgery, but ruled it out because of my other medical conditions. He provided advice on how to handle the pain I had, and gave me an injection.
