Dr. Sakaguchi is a wonderful, competent, especially caring physician who actively involves patients in decisions regarding medication and treatment. He takes the time to care for the whole person, not just obvious medical ailments, but addresses the emotional and social conditions which contribute to a patient's well-being. Dr. Sakaguchi is also the physician of my 95 & 97 yr. old parents. I especially appreciate the extra respect, consideration, and care he gives them at this declining period of their lives.

He listens and takes notes that I am welcome to look at. He knows his stuff and is willing to look outside the box for treatments and help. He is sensitive to my situation and he actually looks at other doctors notes. Their notes are not as thorough. Great bedside manner and he doesn't rush the appointment.

Very happy with the care I received this visit from Dr. Sakaguchi. He took a lot of time to explain health maintenance recommendations and placed orders to make my ability to get labs drawn efficiently with discussion and input from me. I appreciate the reminders he gave about screenings I due for.

A fine, wise, and caring Doctor
I feel like there wasn't much effort to try anything new to try to figure out what was wrong. Instead, the same tests were ordered that were already done before. It felt like the doctor was more concerned with getting through the visit than trying to figure out what was going on. I know something isn't right but instead of trying new things or sending me to a specialist I was told that we essentially do nothing until the problem gets worse.

provider was very dismissive of my concerns and when I asked to have a discussion about possibly being referred to a specialist he essentially told me that he could tell I wasn't going to be happy with anything he said and that he'd put in a referral so a specialist could tell me I was fine. I communicated to him that I was simply trying to discuss my concerns with him and wanted to have a conversation but he refused and was only willing to put in a referral.
I don't know what I would do if my Dr. Moved somewhere I couldn't travel to. I have already followed him from Westridge. He is worth the drive. I have the highest trust and respect for Dr. Sakaguchi

He is great when he come in the room it is just like i open the door to one of are friends we talk about what have you be doing or how are you doing and we bull ----- about what we have be doing then he becomes doctor and he ask about the thing that i am dealing with and what we need to do he has been a great doctor and person.
I love Dr. Sakaguchi and have recommended and brought several family members to him. I tell them that he is the best provider they will ever have because he cares so much, but to always expect long wait times, because he cares so much about his other patients too.

Dr. Sakaguchi was very professional and conducted a very thorough exam. I felt that he took the time to listen to me and gather information to make a well thought out assessment of my medical needs.
While I have only been seeing him for a few months, I am relatively confident that he is the best provider I have had as an adult.
He opened the door to the exam room I was in (i had been waiting for 20 minutes in the exam room) and he said he accidentally came to the wrong room and stayed for a minute and asked me if I wanted to just tell him really quick what was going on or if I wanted to reschedule. I have been waiting to be seen for at least a month and it wasn't a good feeling to have him be the first doctor I've seen in over a year. He rushed through my appointment to get me out of there. The only good thing he did was referred me to get my lungs and tailbone checked.
Dr. Sakaguchi is skilled and helpful with my middle schooler who has been struggling. He has a good demeanor with my child and is super helpful and a great doctor!

Greenwood Center has the best of the best on Health Care, and very convenience for me and my Family, I brought my mother after her Colon Cancer and She has had received the best treatment options at the University of Utah, we are considering bringing the rest of our Family to the University of Utah clinics .

He is always late, I have to wait for more than a hour to see him maybe for 10 minutes. This is absolutely lock of respect. And is ALWAYS that way. I understand if he is 5 o 10 minutes late, but more than a hour is not acceptable.

Dr. Sakaguchi always goes over all information regarding any treatments or medications before administering.
I spoke with a medical student first, who listened very attentively and double checked he had it right. I answered these questions with the doctor in mind. It seemed like the dr was very rushed. He only spent a few minutes with me, seemed agitated and frustrated with the time restraints he was experiencing. If the U of U network genuinely does care about the patients, the administrators need to allow adequate time for the professionals to do their job.

My provider told that blood work is not part of the welless/health exam. His assistant said the opposite. I have been on other wellness exams previously and it was always I included. After me asking he said that we can do it but it is usually not common practice. He barely listed just on my upper lobes of my lungs and said that I have good heart beat!?!?!?!?!?

This was a very very beneficial visit for me. The discussion with the Dr. Sakaguchi was very helpful. He explained some anatomy to me that helped me understand what was going on with me. He also suggested ice and heat to the area which made the difference between "night and day" in terms of my symptoms. I was able to get immediate relief. Simple things that I would not have thought of made a big positive difference to my condition. Dr Saraguchi is compassionate and down to earth making dialog with him easy, free flowing and constructive. He is a good listener but also has advice that is easy to absorb. Realize that what I was seen for may not have been PCP but I could have just been referred if the provider felt that way, I felt so rushed, uninterested in my concern then when asking about alternate treatment it wasn't a point of discussion. My appointment seemed like an inconvenience to the provider.

The doctor just listened to problem, but no other options what we can do to solve our problems to be corrected. No supplements or vitamins or other information was addressed.
Dr. Sakaguchi provided excellent care and was very informative throughout the entire visit. I appreciated the way he explained medication side effects to me so that I knew what to look out for while taking my medication.
The doctor was polite but seemed confused as to why I was there, he asked if I was there just to get a note for work, that was not the case. I was complaining of sinus pressure:congestion, sore throat, ear pain and headache. He checked my lungs, they were good, he pressed on my sinuses. Two things I thought he may want to check was my throat, nose and ears to make sure I didn't have a an infection of some type. I do think he took care of me and some of the things he said made sense. However, seemed to ignore some of my symptoms, maybe because he thought I was just trying to get a note for work? A note I did not ask for at anytime during the visit.I ended up having to go back to the doctor a couple days later to be checked again because I was getting worse. That doctor did check all of the symptoms and suggested medication to help.I will continue to go to Greenwood in the future, I do like the office overall. I've had three visits there, the first was amazing, the second was good and the latest was just ok. I will give it another chance.

Dr Sakaguchi was very informative, and looked for the best route for my condition. He was very concerned about not over-medicating me like past providers, and gave me the cons of previous medications I had been on, although they worked, he thoroughly explained the detriment they come along with.

Dr Sakaguchi went way above the explanations of my health concerns.
He was okay and seemed like he was knowledgeable about the problem; but he also made me feel uncomfortable by making comments about some of my personal items and clothing. He also didn't seem to like that I wasn't interested in taking over the counter pain killers long term and made a comment that I would be a funny patient as a result.
The doctor dismissed my case from the urgent care and did not provide blood work for which the doctor from the urgent care requested. My personal reason should have been drawn as requested, so that I know what going on with my health. So my visit was poorly done. This doctor is not suitable for me to have for my health care concerns.

When I first started seeing Dr zakaguchi. There was another doctor that thought I was in the center because I was a drug addict. I started out with muscle atrophy I thought it was sciatica. I went to see the chiropractor three times before he referred me to the hospital. The clinic sent me home. I was in terrible pain. Excruciating. Dr zakaguchi figured it out after I was in a motorcycle accident and the radiologist printouts went to him. I was hating it. He is a very good doctor he has tried to take the best care of me as he can I'm kind of a hard case guy. I love my doctor
Thanks to Dr Sakaguchi for taking care of me and my needs, getting my referrals, medication and tests in a fast and efficient manner. He also listens to me and I feel a personal care, I'm not just another patient. He explains to me my conditions (which are many) in a manner I understand. Great Doctor!
Dr. Sakaguchi I assume is a good doctor. I had to see him because my primary was booked up. He seemed very rushed, to move onto the next patient, and all the while telling me that we should hurry or do this quickly! Dr Sakaguchi Needs to better understand the patient and where the patient is coming from so that he can be more helpful in his attitude as well as his actions. I left the appointment, feeling that I was just another patient and did not mean anything to him.

When a patient has an appointment, it should not take an hour to speak with the doctor. This is the second time this has happened, and shows great disrespect for the patient.
In my 52 years I have had multiple general care practitioners. Dr. Sakaguchi is by far the best I've ever had and I've had a few very good ones. I am not in network and pay out of pocket to see him. Would recommend him highly to anyone.

He was very thorough but took too long and asked way too many questions. True, I have a complicated medical history, had just been released from the hospital, and he knew nothing about me. He needs to sharpen his interview skills ! He was very pleasant and seemed intelligent.
As usual, Dr Sakaguchi was very efficient and covered all of my concerns thoroughly. I am very satisfied with the outcome of my visit. My interaction with him has allowed me to help myself with my medical issues based on his explanations and directions.
