Dr. Stever is compassionate and gentle. He truly wants to explore every avenue to help relive and manage my chronic arthritis pain.

It was assessment to rule out or rule in possibilities for my long-term health problems. At one point, he asked if I had been through cognitive therapy, which seemed incongruous. Why do over-weight women with chronic health problems (that started before they were overweight) get told it's because they are fat or need therapy? I had my husband there to give observations and to witness the exam. He also thought the cognitive therapy question was odd.
