Patient Rating
Patients consistently praise the physician and care team for being knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate, often highlighting clear explanations and patience with questions. Reviewers note strong attentiveness and responsiveness, including timely follow-up and accessible messaging, and coordinated care for complex or high-risk cases. Several comments credit the team with restored mobility and improved quality of life after serious injuries or infections. A small number of reviews were less positive, mentioning occasional communication gaps or a lack of understanding.
Generated via Patient Reviews
The patient rating score is an average of all responses on our patient experience survey. The rating averages scores for all questions about care from our providers. The scale on which responses are measured is 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.
Patient comments are gathered from our patient experience survey and displayed in their entirety. For the convenience of our visitors, some patient comments have been translated from their original language into English while preserving their original meaning as accurately as possible. Patients are de-identified for confidentiality and patient privacy.

After a catastrophic injury, I spent months in hospital in Montana. Once I was rehabilitated enough to be a candidate for full knee replacement, the University of Utah spent a tremendous amount of care and attention to me and my case. I was a high-risk candidate for this procedure after having my knee joint and the soft tissues in my leg infected with Streptococcus because of my injury. Due to the severity of my injury and subsequent infection, I was denied knee replacement in Montana. The University of Utah took on my case and carefully planned my procedure and after-care treatment. I was closely monitored every step of the way. The doctors on my medical team at the University of Utah restored my mobility, my career, and my quality of life.
Great experience
Answered all of my questions that were asked and made me feel at ease about my treatment plan.
