At the end of my visit I ended with a clear solution to my worries
she did not know what I had, but said she would do research with I very much respect respect her willingness to research & being honest
Asked a question about medication, but I dont think the doctor understood. Asked it again, but felt like I was blown off. I looked at the internet and found the answer which is to monitor any bone aches for possibility of fracture being on the particular medication.
you can see the doctor is busy but when she came into the exam room she paid full attention to me.

I appreciate Dr. Thomas made time for me as the receptionist I said hi to as I came in forgot to check me in at 2:45 when I came for an appointment for 3:00. I waited for 1 hour and a half when I mentioned something to the receptionist. She said I wasn't signed in. They talked to Dr. Thomas and she said she could fit me in. Even though receptionist didn"t realize I wasn't checked in after one hour and a half. Dr. Thomas made time for me which I really appreciated. The receptionists are usually very, very good. Just that day made a mistake. I really appreciate DR. THOMAS making time for me to talk about test results etc. especially at the end of the day.

I thought the exam was good, but I feel that my former GP did a more thorough job in examining me. I was surprised, for example, as this was my annual physical that Dr Thomas didn't perform a prostrate exam.

Dr. Kelly is one of the 2 best primary doctors I've been lucky to have in my 80 years. She cares and knows what she's doing and always treated me like she cared.
Dr Thomas should go into research where she is not interacting with patients. She doesn't care about patients, she only cares about getting to the next patient, task, duty asap. She certainly doesn't listen more than 2 minutes at best!

Dr Thomas has provided excellent support in helping me manage an ongoing health issue. She has creative and useful suggestions for some of the day-to-day challenges that can crop up for me (nutrition, exercise etc) and immediately addresses any concerns I have. The doctor who called was not my primary care physician and she was somewhat informative given that we are dealing with an unknown virus, but I didn't get the feeling that she was all that interested in my welfare.

Was not knowledgeable about my illness, but did work with me to find a treatment plan.
Why does the U have me specify my reason for making an appointment when I schedule online; then no one bothers to read it when I arrive? The disconnect between the assistant and the doctor was baffling. I think Dr. Thomas thought I was crazy or confused. It made the visit unpleasant . At least at first. We were able to overcome the awkwardness and move on.
Dr. Thomas was thorough and cared very much about how I was feeling. She didn't jump to any conclusions but instead was very thoughtful as to my treatment.

I've been going to Dr. Thomas for a few years now and find her to be very impersonal. I do think Dr. Thomas is knowledgeable & capable as a physician but she lacks compassion and interest. She comes across curt and insulting at times. Maybe she is burnt out, but each time I have an appt. with her I leave thinking I have got to find a new Dr. and this time I am going to do it! I would not recommend Dr. Thomas.

Dr. Kelly Thomas has improved her bedside manner markedly today. She is all business and very competent & intelligent, but can be abrupt. Covid has been hard on medical professionals, but there is light at the end of this very long tunnel. Most of us are doing the right thing by masking, vaccinating & boosting, staying away from crowds. It's been socially hard on us good folks and we are frustrated that others do not behave with concern and kindness toward others, especially those that are immune compromised or that are not yet able to be vaccinated, so we have some small Idea what medical professionals are facing every day. Care provider seemed very little familiar with my medical history, hence I have been seen her for 3 yrs. when asked about a condition related to one of my medical conditions, she told me I should not be pero es since I dont have it. Then, when discussing testing for thyroid levels, and I mentioned it would be good as my mom and grandmother have it - her response was "oh really." This is something that is in my medical records, but for some reason - she was very disengaged. When I enquirer about an endoscopy and hiatal hernia - she said that it looked like I didnt have it. I stated that I wanted to understand why I had ongoing esophagus spasms when I bend, her response was "that is very common for anyone to get" - I really dont know any one that has this symptoms. Which I mentioned. She then proceeded to say - there can be many reasons for this to happen, but was not able to give me a good reason or piece of mind. This visit, was definitely a slight disappointment. I didnt not feel as I was a priority or that I mattered greatly. This is not been always the case with her - but I feel that it is valuable to share my experience. We all have rough days, and the physician may have had a rough start - but its a patient, it is hard to witness how unfamiliar your physician is with your medical record or history.

She was prepared for our unusual visit. She was quite thorough and covered an extensive range of medical issues to be attended to. It thought she was wonderful in her medical knowledge and prescriptions both needed and not needed.

professional advice
It would have been more helpful to me if Dr. Thomas would have explained just a bit more in detail about cellulitis/spider bites, the type of treatments used and the longevity with this type of condition, (i.e. why is the pain lingering on while the wound is healing).
This provider has rec'd multiple negative comments over the past couple of years, all of which apply to my experience. Will be seeking another PCP.

they said I have an urinary track infection and they were going to get back with me with the results that they sent in to make sure they gave me the right medication but i haven't heard from them. they gave me some exercises for the vertigo I guess that's all they can do for it it has helped a little bit I am still dizzy.

Kelly was very professional and thorough
she is not focusing on the senior care needs he has. he is suggesting he drink more water when we have told her many times before he sleeps a lot and isn't going to drink more water. when i suggested that this is not particularly helpful she replied "i have to advise this " when his labs are worsening.
Dr Thomas took her time and explained next steps. Most of the time you get rushed and they don't have time to spend with their pactions, however Dr. Thomas is one of the best to take the time and explains next steps.
I just wish she was friendlier.
Dr. Thomas is a great resource for managing my overall health. She is knowledgeable, caring, and efficient. We cover more in my appointments than I have with any other primary care provider and I trust her implicitly.
I started seeing Dr Kelly Thomas when my previous provider (since 1995) retired last May. It has been an unexpectedly smooth transition! During this appt, Dr Thomas told me when to expect lab results and how the results would be communicated to me. She also took a moment to remind me that I could contact her directly if any questions or concerns come up before my next scheduled appointment. Her offer felt so genuine! - not like the throw-away line that is sometimes tacked on to the end of a healthcare visit. Since I have a chronic (lifelong) health issue, it is important for me to feel that my primary care physician is in this with me. I think a good doc lets the patient know they have a sort of ¿partner¿ in dealing with health issues.
Would not recommend her
She's the best doctor I've had. She's very smart and picks up on things I don't see. Very thorough. Every time I leave her office I say the same thing. She's a damn good doctor. She is straight forward and doesn't let me slide. We love her.

I have been to Dr. Thomas in the past, and this experience was much worse than the first time. I left my appointment with little to no additional information and she seemed mostly uninterested in what was going on with me. I almost wanted to ask her if everything was OK, but she just seemed like she didn't care. I was hoping to have Dr. Thomas as my primary care physician, and when I met with her a few years ago, I thought this might work, but I will be switching providers moving forward.
