The only reason I wouldn't give him the best score is because I was selfish and wanted to make it easier to get an appointment. :) But in reality, he is such an amazing physician and I do tell others about him if they're not happy with they PCP. He goes the extra mile to make sure he answers all my questions and concerns. He's extremely proactive when it comes to ensuring his patients' long-term health rather than just what they're there for at the moment. When he referred me to other specialists, they commented on his thoroughness in making sure they saw the bigger picture before I arrived. My friend who works at Huntsman recommended him since he has taken such good care of her inlaws, and I'm so glad I made the change to not only the U of U system but especially to Dr. Masteller. I'm grateful to have him on my team and know he has my back when it comes to my health!! He's the epitome of what a family doctor should be!

Dr. Masteller is wonderful

Dr. Masteller continues to excel in quarterbacking my complicated medical situation, multiple specialists, literal mountains of historical charts and figurative mountains of headaches derived from my "interesting" test results.

Genuine concern

Dr. Masteller was incredible making sure we got follow up care from a good provider and he even called me at home twice after my visit to check on me and help me get my surgery scheduled. I was so impressed!

Best doctor I have even been to. He called me back when I called or texted. He took his time and explained everything in detail. He texted to check on how I was doing. He listened and never made me feel stupid or rushed. I have never been to a more professional or compassionate doctor. Dr Masteller is the best. I moved to Salt Lake and still prefer to travel to Orem to see him. He cares. He is thorough and careful. He treats conservatively but has a plan to increase treatment if needed, which is what I prefer - not to just through antibiotics at every issue.
