I have an allergy to the cleaning products used in clinics/hospitals. The Provider I saw was very compassionate and kind, wiping down everything with alcohol wipes and then wet paper towels to try and remove the cleaner. It's the first time I haven't had an allergic reaction in a clinic in 6 months. Thank you!

As I stated on prior 3 pages, I had a good experience.
I presented with a chief complaint and had to remind provider of this chief complaint at the end of the appointment as it was not addressed. I was told my walkout paperwork would include a referral to a specialist; it did not.
Dr McKay apparently didn't read the notes and go over the concerns that I did have
I previously was seen at the University location and felt that visit was cursory. My diabetes provider said the same after reading the notes. I felt a lot more comfortable with the visit with Dr. McKay. Thorough and kept me informed.

I was just having an eye exam because I am a diabetic .
I hadn't worn contacts in years and he didn't ask if I wanted monthly or daily contacts or trials. He just wrote me an Rx for 2 week contacts without discussing it with me which was super disappointing especially since I paid extra for a contact Rx. He only asked about what cleaning solution I used and recommended a different brand.

Most was a routine eye exam. I have been previously told I have cataracts and was told they were not blocking central vision. But they DO bother me at times! And I later felt shut down with my concerns about cataracts. And my doctor did Not check my mid-vision glasses that I wear for computer and piano at all. He did tell me my left eye had not changed from current long distance prescription, but my right eye did. I did not get a chance to talk much at the optical shop because my ride came. (wheelchair van). I THINK I was told it would cost $89 for one lens. But last time I got new lenses I was without my glasses for about 2 weeks!!! I can't do that again! NO one to ask about this concern!

I've asked about correcting my vision he stated that I have to talk to someone who would do it. I asked if he can provide me with his findings, he said sure but it wasn't given to me. he stated it's in the notes. By his response he wouldn't give me what I requested to give to another doctor. it was if I was pulling teeth from him.
Dr. McKay was very nice and showed sincere concern while working with me. My prescription changed a little, and it would have been helpful if he had explained to me why at the time of the visit. He did meet with me for a follow-up, and he was very helpful in adjusting my lenses.

Dr. McKay has provided my vision care for over twenty years. I have keratoconus which is a challenge for lens fitting, plus cataracts now that I am older. Despite these problems I still enjoy reasonably good vision with the rgp lenses Dr. McKay prescribes and tweaks every year. I can still do all of the things I have enjoyed all my life, including pheasant hunting with my dog, tennis, and fly fishing. I am very grateful.

I had to return within three weeks to have my eyes re-examined when, in that my prescription was not correct . With new glasses I could not see twenty feet. I was was told to wait and my eyes would adjust. That didn't happen, in that I had to order and second pair of glasses. Even then the new prescription did not have all the info remake the second pair of glasses.

Dr. McKay is my favorite doctor because he is thorough, listens carefully, provides very thoughtful answers and information in a manner that continually furthers my education about my eyes and vision, and provides the sort of care and concern that you always desire from your doctors.

Came in specifically for a ocular migraine/vision problems associated with this. I was told very little about what could be causing these headaches and no information about treatment. The doctor told me to just "go see your primary care provider". Other than receiving a prescription for glasses I didn't get a whole lot out of this visit.

My first appointment with this doctor was very positive, he was very sympathetic and attentive. I should have filled out a survey then, too. This last visit, however, I left feeling like I wasted his time. I've been experiencing eye pain for several months and it was chalked up to poor eye-hygiene. I'm not arguing that he was wrong about that, but the way I was told felt condescending. I also don't think any other matters or possible causes were considered, leaving me feeling dismissed and invalidated. I would have felt better about this visit (leaving with the same recommendation) if some of the concerns/pain I was having was normalized or at least somewhat validated.

Am not satisfied if I came for eye check up he have to tell me about my eyes he not tell any thing cataract, sugar, my vision, dryness or any others things. When asked first question his answer was stopped me to asked any other questions he said your provider take care of that and when ask for my near vision number he said No
The doctor had a professional ease and calm style. He addressed a problem I had had for some time.
The doctor didn't explain my eyeglasses prescription to me beyond to tell me that I could choose whether or not to get bifocals. It was my first time getting glasses so I would have liked more information about what the numbers meant, and how one eye could be both myopic and presbyopic. I figured it out with Google later on, but I would have liked his explanation. Especially since my dilated eyes couldn't read any of the stuff he sent with me, until a few hours later, at which time I had already ordered my new glasses. I did appreciate that after the exam he told me that my eyes were healthy, and that my vision changes are probably due to normal aging rather than some disease.

He's a very good doctor who cares a lot about his patients as people and who puts you at ease. He has a bright aspect. I've occasionally had doctors examine from a variety of different specialties who were utterly indifferent to patients comfort and to patients feedback and natural curiousity. Dr. Mackay went way beyond the call of duty in getting me in for my exam when I was unavoidably late. I appreciate this so much.

doctor didnt mention anything about my significant prescription change, even the assistant was a little confused of it, i didnt see the comparison of my previous and recent prescription, wish the doctor could have mentioned and explained the differences because they were completely way off, usually its always a plus one added but this time everything was off, but aside from that everything was okay.

He did not discuss treatment with me at all. Sent me out with a prescription for glasses with no guidance on what to do with it. I have never had a prescription for glasses so I was not sure about what to do about follow up. The tech did explain all this to me but I was surprised the provider did not.

He was very calm and kind. Explained everything well and was fast but efficient.
Provider gave verbal instructions for how to care for my condition and also gave a written instruction sheet to me at the end of my appointment. He gave me plenty of opportunity to ask questions and I didn't feel rushed.
