Languages spoken: English
  • Pat Ellsworth is an Advanced Practice Family Nurse Practitioner. Pat received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Utah and is certified as an APRN with an emphasis in Family Practice. Pat completed her undergraduate studies in nursing and health sciences from Weber State University. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA), Utah Nurse Practitioners, and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International.

She began her practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner with an interest in geriatric and chronic disease treatment. Pat now specializes in treating patients of all ages with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and end stage renal disease. Pat’s passion is educating patients and family/caregivers about their health and disease process, and she strongly believes in the team approach to healthcare. Additionally, she believes patients should be involved in their own plan of care and has researched and developed several educational patient handouts with information to help them manage their health in a straightforward manner. Pat also believes in treating the whole person, not just their disease process.

Pat lives with her husband, 3 children and one very large but loveable Lab-Great Pyrenees mix. She enjoys spending time with her family snowboarding and skiing (water and snow), hiking, biking, riding 4-wheelers, camping, fishing, gardening, and reading. She also loves to travel to new places and learn all about the culture, people, and environment.

Pat is excited to continue her journey as a kidney specialist and is looking forward to meeting you!
