Robert Teixeira, MD is a board-eligible plastic and reconstructive surgeon at University of Utah Health who specializes in the hand and upper extremity. His clinical interests include peripheral nerve surgery, spinal cord injury upper extremity reconstruction, hand and wrist injuries, pediatric hand surgery, and microsurgical free tissue transfer. He sees patients at the University of Utah Ambulatory Care Center at the main hospital, at the South Jordan Health Center, and at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Teixeira grew up in the Midwest. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and he earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and a Hand, Nerve, and Microsurgery Fellowship with the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University in St Louis.
In his free time, Dr. Teixeira loves the outdoors, hiking, skiing, music, cooking, and trying new foods. He is looking forward to exploring what life elevated has to offer!
