All testing is done by appointment.

Our total health and fitness testing is a great way to get a full picture of your health and fitness. In our total health and fitness testing package, you will get the following tests: 

  • 60-minute nutrition consultation
  • Submaximal aerobic fitness
  • Body composition (%fat)—Bod Pod
  • Upper body strength/endurance (push-ups)
  • Abdominal strength/endurance (curl-ups)
  • Flexibility
  • Total cholesterol/glucose panel
  • Resting blood pressure
  • BMI
  • Waist circumference
  • Up to $40 savings compared to prices of individual tests

What to Expect

General Information

  • 1.5 hour appointment
  • Bod Pod and Lipid panel + fasting glucose tests will be completed first followed by fitness tests
  • Do not exercise, eat, or drink anything with calories or caffeine 10-12 hours before your test
  • It's important to stay hydrated! Please be sure to drink water 4-5 hours before your test
  • Bring form fitting clothing for the Bod Pod test (see details below) and comfortable exercise clothing for the fitness tests
  • You may choose to bring a small snack for after the Bod Pod and Lipid panel and fasting glucose tests are completed

Bod Pod Information

  • Special clothing is necessary. Women need to bring a swimsuit or form fitting shorts and a sports bra. Men need to bring a speedo or compression shorts. (PEAK can provide compression shorts if needed).
  • Do not exercise, eat, or drink anything with calories or caffeine 10-12 hours before your test
  • It's important to stay hydrated! Please be sure to drink water 4-5 hours before your test
  • Don't participate in vigorous/high intensity weight training 12 hours prior
  • Do come rested and relaxed

Cholesterol + Fasting Glucose Information

  • A drop of blood is collected by puncturing the skin on a fingertip
  • Results are available immediately
  • Results include: Total Cholesterol, HDL (often called good cholesterol), LDL (often called bad cholesterol), Triglycerides, fasting blood glucose
  • Upgrade fasting blood glucose to A1c for $15! A1cprovides information concerning average blood glucose levels during the past 3 months

Submaximal Aerobic Test Information

  • A submaximal aerobic test involves exercising 75-85% predicted max heart rate
  • Generally completed on bicycle ergometer
  • Heart rate and workload are used to predict maximum oxygen uptake
  • Great test to determine cardiovascular fitness
  • Test takes approximately 12-15 minutes
  • Results are available immediately after the test is completed
