W. Brett Graham, MBA, MPA, serves as the Institute President for Huntsman Mental Health Institute.
In this role, Brett leads overall strategy and operations for the institute, partnering with leaders across clinical care, research, education, and administration to advance our mission and expand access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health care. As part of the institute’s leadership triad, he helps ensure alignment across key priorities to drive impact in Utah and beyond.
Brett previously served as Interim CEO of Huntsman Mental Health Institute beginning in February 2025, guiding enterprise operations and strategic initiatives in support of long-term growth and transformation.
He brings extensive experience in health care strategy and operations. Prior to joining University of Utah Health, Brett was a partner at Leavitt Partners, where he advanced value-based care by convening leaders across government and industry. He also served as chief operating officer at Meritain Health and as a vice president at Ingenix, part of UnitedHealth Group.
At the University of Utah, Brett previously served as chief strategy officer, leading and coordinating the Impact 2030 strategy while advancing systemwide initiatives focused on quality, access, operational excellence, and integration across clinical care, research, and education.
Brett earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Utah and has completed graduate studies in higher education leadership at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
