Moran Physicians, Researchers Named to The Ophthalmologist Power List 2020

The Ophthalmologist magazine, a London-based publication, has named five John A. Moran Eye Center faculty members among the most influential figures in ophthalmology internationally, placing them on its 2020 Power List.

Judges reviewed thousands of nominations submitted by the magazine’s readers to compile this year’s highly anticipated annual list, released March 31. Each submission celebrates an individual who has made a significant impact on the field, whether through ongoing commitments to innovation or a philanthropic initiative. The 100 individuals on the list were split nearly evenly between U.S. and international institutions, non-profits, and companies.

"It’s truly an honor to be acknowledged on this prestigious list," said Moran CEO Randall J Olson, MD, one of the five faculty members named to the list. "Although we are not one of the largest programs in the country, we are third in terms of the number of faculty represented—and I could not be more proud."
