The John A. Moran Eye Center recently welcomed comprehensive optometrist Katherine Anderson, OD, to the team at our Parkway, Stansbury, Westridge, and Redwood Health Center locations.
In addition to providing eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses, Anderson has special interests in assisting patients with low vision, geriatric optometry, and managing a wide range of ocular diseases including keratoconus and glaucoma.
“After struggling with dry eye myself and eventually shadowing my own optometrist, I knew this was the field I was meant to be in,” says Anderson. “I have found a passion in diagnosing and managing ocular diseases. I find it fulfilling to work closely with my patients and help them deal with impacts to their vision.”
Prior to joining Moran, Anderson practiced optometry in Falmouth, Maine. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and did her post-graduate studies in ocular disease and low vision at Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System.
In her free time, Anderson enjoys cycling and doing hot yoga. New to Utah, she is excited to explore the Salt Lake area and try new hikes.
