(SALT LAKE CITY) - University of Utah Hospital received top honors for the first time as the best hospital in the Salt Lake City region in overall patient experience according to a study conducted by CPM HealthGrades in 2012.
In the latest rankings by CPM HealthGrades, University of Utah Hospital ranked among the nation's top 10 percent for patient experience, and the best in the Salt Lake City region, when compared to 3,797 other hospitals nationwide. The hospital was measured on ten different criteria including: overall rating by patients, recommendations to family/friends, communication with doctors and nurses, responsiveness of hospital staff, pain management, communication about medication, discharge information, cleanliness, and quietness.
