Be Well Utah Week to Culminate with Family Health Fair Saturday, August 27th at Rice Eccles Stadium

 

Utah families have had the opportunity to participate in hundreds of healthy activities this week during Be Well Utah, a community health fair held August 20-27 2016. Presented by University of Utah Health Care and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah, the wellness-centered family event features complimentary health screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations, and activities to encourage people to make consistent healthy choices. Events have taken place at various locations around the U of U campus and the surrounding community.

On Saturday, August 27th at Rice Eccles Stadium, Be Well Utah week culminates with the Family Health Fair and 5K Run in Rhythm. The run is free and starts promptly at 8:30am, with the Family Health Fair running 9:00am-1:00pm.

At the Family Health Fair, attendees can participate in health screenings, interactive wellness displays, on-field activities, and a Kids' Corner full of fun, healthy activities. Available health screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, bone density, dental, vision, atrial fibrillation, sleep apnea, carotid artery, and behavioral health. Drawings and giveaways are plentiful throughout the fair, and everything is free!
