Continuing its run of high-profile recognition for exceptional quality and employee engagement, University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics has been named to the 2018 list of "100 Great Hospitals in America," released annually by Becker’s Healthcare.
University of Utah Health’s recognition by Becker’s comes on the heels several prestigious award announcements in the past weeks. On May 1st, the organization was named by Forbes as #35 on its list of “America’s Best Large Employers.” The week before, University of Utah Health was awarded the Advisory Board 2018 Workplace of the Year Award.
The hospitals included on the Becker’s Healthcare list were recognized nationally for excellence in clinical care, patient outcomes, and staff and physician satisfaction. The institutions are industry leaders that have achieved advanced accreditation and certification in several specialties. The list also includes industry innovators that have sparked trends in healthcare technology, hospital management and patient satisfaction.
Becker's Healthcare selects the 100 best hospitals for inclusion based on analysis of ranking and award agencies, including U.S. News & World Report's 2017-18 rankings, CMS star ratings, Leapfrog grades and Truven Health Analytics. Becker's also sought nominations for this list.
