U of U School of Medicine Students Organize PPE Donation Drives

Student volunteers from University of Utah School of Medicine are working to support the community's clinical providers by collecting personal protective equipment (PPE) through donation drives from the public.

The donation drives were organized in anticipation of supply chain challenges as health care systems prepare for a surge of COVID-19 patients in the coming weeks. All donations collected will be distributed throughout the University of Utah Health system as needed.

Salt Lake City residents are encouraged to donate the following supplies:

  • N-95 respirator masks and other face masks (surgical masks, masks used by painters, carpenters, hobbyists, etc.)
  • Medical or disposable gloves
  • Eye protection goggles (no swim goggles)
  • Face shields
  • Medical or disposable gowns
  • Hand sanitizer (of all sizes)
  • Disinfectant Wipes

Original/unopened items are preferred, but not required. Open boxes can be accepted, but those who want to donate are asked to not drop off used gloves or masks.
