University of Utah Health Collaborates with Utah Legislators to Organize COVID-19 Testing for Underserved Communities

University of Utah Health is working in partnership with the Utah Legislative Ethnic and Racial Minority Caucus and the Utah Department of Health Office of Health Disparities to test for COVID-19 in underserved communities in Utah. In-car COVID-19 testing will be available free of charge, regardless of symptoms, to members of the public at the Utah State Fairpark on Saturday, May 9th, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A University of Utah Health medical team and the Wellness Bus will be on hand to help with community needs. The Wellness Bus has shifted regular operations and retrofitted to provide COVID-19 screening, health consultations, and education. The Wellness Bus will serve as an operations mobile command center at the Utah State Fairpark during COVID-19 testing.

Participants are required to pre-register to reserve a 10-minute time slot to be tested.
