This global gathering will feature cutting-edge research, community engagement ideas, the latest in medical prevention, care, and techniques, as well as bereavement resources and support for parents.
Bob Silver, M.D., chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Utah Health, said, "We are thrilled to be able to host this important global conference in Utah, particularly after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19." Silver continued, "As a clinician and researcher, this conference is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with partners and parents from around the world; increasing advocacy for maternal and perinatal outcomes and learning from one another. Working together as a global community, we can also work to decrease disparities and improve support for bereaved families."
Parents who have experienced stillbirth or pregnancy loss are encouraged to attend the conference, which will discuss topics specifically developed for families, such as pregnancy after loss, grief and support groups, advocacy for parents, etc. Clinicians and researchers with an interest in stillbirth are also encouraged to attend.
