I have scars under one arm. I asked about possible stitches. He made a comment saying "well, we shouldn't poke a sleeping bear." I guess as long as he doesn't have to live with the scars, why should he care. I felt horrible when I left.

I love Dr. Johnson - he is a great DERMATOLOGIST! He doesn't work at the Moran Eye Center as this survey says he does.

Dr. Johnson was amazing! He recommended a full body check for all of my moles and removed a suspicious looking one on my head which I was not planning on. He made sure I felt at ease and was very kind and professional

If I could rate this experience at a zero, I would, and I do not say that lightly. I've specifically chosen all of my healthcare providers to be through University Health because I always receive exceptional care, but I'm disappointed to say that that experience I've always had ended with Dr. Johnson. He was incredibly rude and condescending regarding my concerns and dismissed them by saying that I "made a big deal out of a whole lot of nothing." I had to ask him specific questions regarding the concerns that I had and his answers were vague and he said "Well that just depends" and "It varies." He also told me, "I wouldn't be doing you any favors by cutting your face." which I found really inappropriate. I was already coming in because I felt as though there was reason to be concerned. After taking photos of my moles upon my request for documentation purposes, he made a comment about me having acne. He then proceeded to tell me about treatment options. I expressed to him that this was not a concern of mine and that I didn't come in asking for any acne treatment. He went on about scarring and what we could do for that. I find it disheartening and unprofessional that he had more to say about a condition I didn't ask about rather than addressing my actual concern. I do not recommend this provider.

I had asked Dr. Johnson about why my condition seemed to be worse this year than it usually has been in the past. He gave very good explanations on some potential factors! However, I would have liked some more information on what the prescribed medications I received are supposed to accomplish. I will likely reach out again to the provider by call for this information.

he seems to be one of the types that his mind is going fast and reasons through a ton of stuff and simply doesn't realize the patient wants information pertinent to the issue not just the results.

Dr. Johnson is great. We were working with a condition that is rare (which he diagnosed) and he has done great throughout the process with letting us know our options and helping us make decisions on how to care for the situation is the best way based on the little information that is know about it.
