Bio

Dr. Kristen Carroll is a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of staff Shriners Hospital. She specializes in the areas of pediatric hip and foot abnormalities, both congenital and neuromuscular in origin. Her research interests include neuromuscular and complex hip disorders, skeletal dysplasias and complex foot and ankle deformities. Dr. Carroll practices at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Salt Lake City Utah. Dr. Carroll graduated with a medical degree from Albany Medical School in New York, and completed her Orthopaedic residency and pediatric fellowship at the University of Utah.

Academic Bio

Dr. Kristen Carroll is a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Staff Shriners Hosptial. Dr. Carroll works primarily at Shriners Hospitals for Children and also has privileges at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Medical Center. She specializes in Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip, Perthes disease and hip preservation. She also is highly interested in skeletal dysplasias, Osteogenesis Imperfecta and benign bone tumors such as Hereditary Multiple Exostosis. She has significant experience in neuromuscular disease, gait lab evaluation and paralytic deformities. Complex foot and ankle deformities, such as pes planus, cavovarus, and club foot are also an area of specialty.
