Dr. Sanyer is one of the most thoughtful, kind, brilliant, and relatable physicians I know and there Is no doubt the value he brings to this organization. He hasn't seen my daughter since she was 12 and welcomed us back without judgement but rather a genuine interest in helping us navigate a new health challenge for my 17 yo daughter. He was genuinely committed and humble in his approach. It is obvious his motivation is simply to help my daughter live a more comfortable and confident teenage life. He exceeded my expectations in his sensitivity to learn about her as an individual with all of her aspirations etc He took time to discuss with her the options for addressing her medical issue and reviewed all of the pros and cons of each in a way that she could understand. It meant so much to me that he took the time to acknowledge how hard it must be for her as an otherwise healthy and active 17 yo to be getting frequent lab draws, clinic visits, and making appointments rather than living a normal teenage life. While I assumed my daughter would feel most comfortable seeing a woman provider, she came away from this appointment expressing her trust and confidence in him. As a provider myself, I am so impressed with both the breadth and depth of his knowledge and most of all his humility. It is clear that U of U Health prides itself in hiring the best and the brightest and I feel so fortunate to be part of this great organization.

Dr. Sanyer is exceptional, seems to understand me, know me, easily and effectively communicates with me and is always DILIGENT in his follow through, with a level of care and concern for my health and welfare that is unprecedented in my experience. I look forward to every appointment- I feel I'll always leave feeling more confident about my condition and diagnosis, and the care plan is always one I understand. I leave thankful for his attention to detail, and his ability to logically process variables to attain his diagnosis pairs well with my own need for logical discipline. I always feel we're on the same page, and that the meeting was fruitful. His personality is also very agreeable, despite his presumed workload. No matter how busy he may be, he always seems to have time for me and my concerns. His written correspondence is most timely and on point in addressing my needs, while balanced with his professional concerns.

Excellent consultation. Dr S listened to concerns, brought clinical experience and research to the conversation, and continued to research the issue after the visit. He sent me a chart message with cdc guidance the day after our visit. I felt we were partners in developing a care plan. I'm impressed with his vigilant caring concern. All of this was done with the following context: he and staff responded to a code incident in the parking lot just before, and my appointment was late in the day. He is not my PCP. He had reason to be weary and unenthusiastic to meet with me. But he was fully present. I hope he is a prolific mentor as his way of doctoring is exemplary and and I hope there are many like him amongst your medical staff and in communities far and wide.
