Dr. Bott has a special interest in cardiac and trauma anesthesia, and is the Director of Trauma Anesthesiology at the University of Utah. He is also Assistant Medical Director for AirMed, the University's large critical care air medical transport program, operating eight aircraft and ten separate flight teams 24/7, and directs their Mechanical Circulatory Support (ECMO) transport program. He also has special expertise in the management of emergency and difficult airways, and teaches this on an international level. Finally, he has extensive experience in disaster response, and commanded a large federal disaster response team for ten years.
