Menerva Lobe, MPAS, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant (PA) and Assistant Professor (Clinical) at The University of Utah School of Medicine, Division of Physician Assistant Studies. She specializes in family medicine at the University of Utah, South Main Clinic. Her clinical interests include addressing health disparities and the burden of medical ailments in under-represented groups.
After receiving her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2020, she joined the PA program in June 2021. Prior to joining The University of Utah Physician Assistant Program (UPAP), she was part of the clinical skills faculty team at the University of Nevada, Reno, PA Program. She is currently faculty in the UPAP didactic education team and Co-Chair of the equity, diversity, and inclusion committee for UPAP. She has a strong interest in improving health outcomes for medically underserved populations, educational equity for all PA students, and increasing justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in PA and medical education. Her voice has been discerned on the national conversation of EDI in PA education and her initiatives, such as The Case for Inclusion and Diversity in PA Cohorts, cofounding of the nonprofit Physician Assistants of Color and talks as an invited panelist on topics of EDI in the PA profession are part of her accolades.
Ms. Lobe spent her childhood years Cameroon, West Africa and spent most of her adult years the Reno/Sparks Nevada area; where she completed her undergraduate studies in Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno. She enjoys meeting, learning from and interacting with people from all over the world in the clinic and in the classroom.
