Bio

Heather George, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant specializing in family medicine. She completed her training and master’s degree from the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program. In October 2012 she joined University of Utah Health Care as a stroke rehabilitation provider. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, she was a physical therapist assistant for 13 years and a certified group fitness instructor for 22 years. Currently, she serves on the Tooele County Health Department Live Fit Coalition. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, obesity management, and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. She emphasizes physical activity and good nutrition to patients whether recovering from stroke or simply working to live a healthier lifestyle. In her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and children playing sports, watching movies, and participating in triathlons.

Academic Bio

Heather George received her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah in 2000. She graduated from the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program, in 2012 with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. She also holds an AAS from Salt Lake Community College graduating from the Physical Therapist Assistant Program in 1998.

She is a co-investigator on the CNS-GAB101US research study from 11/2012 to 6/2013.
