  • Jake Fetzer PA-C, MPAS is a board certified Physician Assistant working primarily with heart failure and transplant patients at the University of Utah Medical Center. In addition to managing complications related to heart failure, he is involved in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of other cardiac pathologies.

    He has enjoyed living in Utah the majority of his life. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, graduating summa cum laude. Thereafter, he completed his medical training through the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program. Prior to graduate training, Jake worked for over 6 years in pathology.

    Jake has also been involved in multiple research endeavors, including hormone receptor analysis in the setting of breast cancer. He later presented findings of his research at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium in December 2009. He is excited to be part of the University of Utah’s Department of Cardiology, which has a long history of contributing crucial research that has helped shape the current management approach of many cardiovascular conditions, especially heart failure and transplant.
