January 26, 2015

The appointment felt very rushed and cold, with minimal concern from the Dr. The explanation of my 'bone settling' during casting was brief and dismissive. No physical therapy was suggested even though I could barely move my hand and had obvious muscle deterioration. My concerns about full range of motion recovery were not addressed. I was trying not to cry but was visibly upset. The Dr. did not take the extra time to reassure me that everything was ok. I left the office crying and scared and nobody said anything. I am very disappointed, as I expect much more from the U and it's 'patient-centered' mission.

January 26, 2015

This dr. didn't seem to care a lot about my hand. She didn't listen to what I had already tried. she game me treatment that I had already done

January 22, 2015

Dr. Wang is not the doctor who did my procedure. I came in because I got an infection on a hand after carpal tunnel surgery and my normal MD Dr. Tyser wasn't available. Dr. Wang came into my treatment room for maybe 5 minutes and seemed very aggravated that i was there and that i was not her patient. I spent more time with the resident, who was great, then I did with her and i felt like I was putting her out because I was not a patient of hers. She was very rushed and rude. When I decide to see get treatment at the University it should not matter if I'm a patient specifically of your or not I should be treated as such and I deserve to get the time to have my questions answered and not feel guilty that i am there. An infection in my hand is a very big deal for me, I work on the burn unit and there is horrible infections up there and i was worried I may have contracted something. I would have appreciated a little respect and time from Dr. Wang even though I technically wasn't her patient.

January 07, 2015

I highly recommend Dr. Wang and her team. I did get a second opinion from another hand surgeon but ultimately I felt most comfortable and confident with Dr. Wang. Dr. Wang's bedside manner was friendly and professional. She listened to my concerns and was willing to answer all of my questions during all encounters, both prior to surgery and at post operative follow ups. My livelihood depends on the use of my hands and she restored my function better than I anticipated for which I am truly grateful.

December 19, 2014

this question will not help you distinguish the care by each of those care givers involved. for example the doctor was clear and easy to understand, but the assistant doctor used language and technical terms that were not clear.

December 13, 2014

as noted before, she did not spend enough time with me to encourage questions.

December 07, 2014

As I said in the last survey, Dr. Wang is in and out in less than five minutes, seems to have more important places to be, and asks if I have questions but her tone and demeanor indicate that she hopes I don't because my medical problem is minor in her eyes and she has other places to be. I would not go back to her even if I try this facility again in the future.

October 30, 2014

I would say the resident showed more personalized care and concern than the provider. While she was friendly and helpful when I asked questions, she was not anticipating needs or showing a huge concern for my daughter's worries.

October 30, 2014

Nothing else to say very disappointed

October 27, 2014

I didn't feel like she listened to what I was saying, and what I needed. She did what she wanted. I was not happy when I left.

October 15, 2014

Had us feel out questions we wanted answered during visit which my 9 year old took seriously which Dr. Wang did not allude to and then when my son brought it up she brushed it off. She had addressed the issues but needed to be more sensitive to a child taking interest in his own care. I will not recommend clinic due to fact that they are not a sensitive to kids and that a horrible cast was put on that I had to have redone...felt like a waste of my day in the end.

October 09, 2014

Dr. Wang did an amazing job, very pleased with the level of care I received.

October 06, 2014

Dr. Wang is knowledgeable, can be personable and is an excellent surgeon. However, during my appointment, she spent more time interacting with the resident than with me. The same situation occurred on my very first appointment with her. Her doctor-patient rapport (at least with me) is non-existent.

September 24, 2014

Seems my condition (tennis elbow on dominate arm) could be with me for rest of my life. Would have liked more info about to deal with that. E.g. approaches an active person can take to minimize the condition

September 24, 2014

Did not feel like Dr. Wang cared that I was in pain and felt like she really didn't care if it got fixed or not. I got the feeling that it "wasn't her problem". Very disappointed.

September 13, 2014

Very dissatisfied about dr wang she wont listen

September 13, 2014

This was just a very simple checkup for prior surgery that had an excellent outcome, so there wasn't much to do. I appreciate the good work!

September 03, 2014

Doctor saw me for maybe 5 minutes after waiting for a while and seeing the resident for more of the time.

August 18, 2014

Extremely impressed with all aspects of my primary care and follow-up. My progress is far more rapid than anticipated and I couldn't be more pleased.

August 16, 2014

Would have bennifited with written instructions

July 05, 2014

Dr. Wang hardly even spoke to me. When I called her with a question about my medication after the surgery she gave me a brief answer and told me to contact my primary care physician if I had any other concerns.

June 15, 2014

The resident was great. The doctor was in and out of the exam room so fast that all I got was a quick diagnosis and recommendation for initial treatment. No rapport, no time taken to listen to and answer questions, and most of the conversation was between the doctor and resident, not the doctor and patient (me). I also noted when checking in for my 9am appointment that at least two other people checked in for a 9am appointment with the same doctor. Perhaps the doctor has too many simultaneous appointments to spend the appropriate time with any one patient.

June 09, 2014

Dr. Wang is fantastic! She was thorough and considerate of my time and condition.

May 30, 2014

May 30, 2014

She treated the care of an open wound as no big deal; something I should certainly be able to care for myself without complaining or requesting any further pain medication. (She had better things to do.) I tried to contact her a couple of days later when something happened with the treatment, but she never called back.

May 19, 2014

My prior research on the internet provided more detail on the injury than the physician did. I wonder if others would understand what the exact injury was from just the visit alone. A picture says a thousand words. Maybe consider starting the visit with a diagram of a specific injury or pulling one up from a respectable website and walking the pt through it.

May 19, 2014

I love that she is very efficient, getting to the issue and explaining the options for a solution. She is friendly and listens to what I have to say. She explained the x-ray findings, what they meant and what we needed to do to fix the issue in a calm, clear manner that I could understand.

May 07, 2014

I read the review about Dr. Wang. There are some that had me concerned. She was very professional. She answered all my questions. She took the time to explain the procedure she would use in my up coming surgery. I am very pleased with her, and confident she will do a good job in operating on my wrist.

April 28, 2014

Dr. Wang was wonderful.

April 26, 2014

I was very disappointed in this doctor, she did not want to help me, and I was seen by her, and I thought that she had done this procedure before. She was not very nice

April 08, 2014

The Dr didn't spend more than a few minutes with me. Maybe she was having a busy day but I didn't feel I was listened to. I wouldn't recommend or return to this particular Dr.

April 04, 2014

My original Injury was treated by Dr. Wang and because of her and her staff I still have my hand. They have never been anything short of Wonderful. I have received the optimum level of care from Dr. Wang and her staff. They have made every explanation in terms I could understand and options I could discuss weigh and make feeling involved, Educated and comfortable Making concerning my injury and Follow up treatment.

April 02, 2014

Dr. Wang spent less than 4 minutes with me. I didn't have a chance to ask any questions. I'm scheduled for surgery with her, but am considering finding another surgeon who I am more comfortable with and who will explain more to me about my condition.

March 28, 2014

I would recommend this care provider because she is an excellent doctor and she seems to be trying to be friendlier.

March 13, 2014

I worried initially that I had made her angry at me- no eye contact, minimal discussion, minimal concern.

March 05, 2014

I did not feel much warmth or personal concern, however, I think the doctor was well enough qualified. I have usually been able to connect with my health care givers and enjoyed mutual professional respect.

March 01, 2014

Dr. Wang and her staff , Have always made me feel comfortable and kept me informed of any options and processes involved with my injury and treatment. And has given me straight answers with direct treatment plans and solid information concerning my injection injury and following Treatment 's & surgery's .

February 26, 2014

I felt like she didn't care very much at all. She seemed like she was in a hurry, and she didn't let me say hardly anything.

February 16, 2014

Time with provider is too short. Spend more time with MA, rad tech, hand therapy

February 15, 2014

Dr. Angela Wang is my go-to expert. I have worked with her for over three years on other injuries. When this latest one came up and a hand expert was needed she is the only one I called. I have the greatest confidence in her. She always gives insightful analysis and recommendations for treatment.

February 07, 2014

Dr. Wang is great!

February 05, 2014

I was impressed w/the "over protected" care & attitude of everyone. I understand the concern & need- it just felt weird. Also maybe the prescription of "Lortab" for such minor surgery was overkill. I never had it filled--I only took Ibuprofen 1 day. Maybe that is why people get "addicted" to prescription drugs.

January 24, 2014

Time with actual provider always is short.

January 18, 2014

You all are awesome!

January 15, 2014

In my opinion, Dr. Wang really didn't want to do the surgery, and didn't give any hope for success

December 27, 2013

Dr. Wang was not very nice. She made a rude comment about my sons other finger that wasn't injured. Said it looked funnier than the hurt one.

December 07, 2013

They take the time you need; and are very interested in your problems

December 02, 2013

Angela isn't the most friendly and personable surgeon, but seems like she knows her stuff very well.

November 15, 2013

November 13, 2013

Everything was just fine

October 28, 2013

I feel like Dr. Wang is a good surgeon, which is what is most important; however, I don't like her bedside manner. She is curt, not friendly, hurried, and doesn't take time to explain risks of surgery, recovery times, what to expect, etc. I'm not sure if I would choose her again.

October 07, 2013

I have referred many people already who are suffering from similar symptoms.

September 30, 2013

The resident/fellow was great. The attending was not. She didn't listen to what I was saying about my hand/wrist and went directly to a diagnosis that would seem appropriate considering my gender and age without taking all of my symptoms into account.

August 28, 2013

The doctor keeps telling me that the hand braces and steroid injections won't really fix the problem but we have to go through all these conservative approaches before surgery is approved. In the meantime I am essentially handicapped with my hand function. Can't anyone at least try to get approval for a surgery? I am not very satisfied to just be a guinea pig with a bunch of procedures that don't fix the problem.

August 13, 2013

Dr Wang did not seem very concerned with me as a patient. She was in the room for less than a minute and she was just very short and did not ask me any questions about how I was feeling. She definitely did not leave any time for me to ask her questions about my hand. I wanted to know about physical therapy or exercises that I could be doing but she left so quickly I didn't have the chance.

August 07, 2013

dr .Wang was friendly and nice. She examined my thumb, MADe. z diagnosis, outlined treatment plan and performed treatment .we talked about alternative treatments and possible surgery. I like likrd hef clear explanations snd options. liked her s lot . chevrcplaindd what she as

August 05, 2013

Dr wang was amazing in trying to help me in every way she could

July 19, 2013

Dr. Wang is wonderful!

July 15, 2013

Great experience overall

June 26, 2013

Dr. Wang is an amazing Dr. who chooses her treatment plan with knowledge and what the patient feels they need to live the most productive life they can. 𿿍

May 29, 2013

Poor communication skills and interpersonal interactions. Communicated with the patient-listen to the chief complaint and discuss options/diagnosis. Do not dismiss symptoms or dismiss the complaint. I would not schedule surgery/care with the physician. I will seek out another physician who is more patient centered.

March 13, 2013

I need more time with this person to be able to comment. Need to know how one returns calls, provides appropriate referrals, pain management etc.

March 04, 2013

Dr. Wang was friendly, courteous, and very professional, as always. I have total trust in her as a physician.

February 19, 2013

February 04, 2013

Dr. Wang had no bed side manner. I felt Like I was an inconvience in her day and that my problem wasn't that big of a deal.

January 29, 2013

Dr. Wang was great but I felt like the appointment was a little rushed.

January 21, 2013

Dr Wang service was beyond my expectations

January 09, 2013

I do not yet have a diagnosis, so this rating may be a bit unfair. Care was direct and to the point. There is a possibility--which was appropriately told to me--that the diagnosis may not be a good one. There was little effort to explore whether this might be disturbing to me or to be supportive in case it were. As the possibility is remote, or so I understand it, this may be appropriate. But it is fair to describe the interaction as quite business-like but not "touchy-feely".

January 07, 2013

I would definitely reccomend Dr. Wang to others. I felt very good about my appointments and surgery.

December 17, 2012

Very brief. Did not ask if I had questions. Did not allow me time to ask questions. Not friendly. Not personable.

October 17, 2012

I just had a surgery done by Doctor Angela Wang and i think she did a fantastic Job. after two weeks my hand is fully functional and healing extremely fast. i would recommend Doctor Wand and Orthopedic center anytime .

October 16, 2012

I felt like the Dr. was rushed and not very interested. She was not that friendly either and this was a 3 year old she was dealing with!

October 09, 2012

Good experience

September 24, 2012

Doctor gave some explanations, but not a lot. Was in a big hurry!

August 28, 2012

dr. wang was great

August 27, 2012

the doctor spent a total of 5 minutes ,disregarding any of my questions and concern, looking like I was wasting her time and bothering her with my presence

August 22, 2012

as a pt you would like to know that your care provider can give you 2 seconds to look you in the eye and actually acknowledge you during an introduction, not shake your hand all the while looking at your record in her hand; not personable at all

August 14, 2012

Dr Wang based her diagnosis on the examination by the resident and failed to address the primary cause of my concern and pain. She recommended a brace for my thumb that did not address my wrist pain/swelling and that actually exacerbated the problem. She did not spend anytime discussing my symptoms or the very specific events that produced them, instead assuming that this was simply an age-related arthritic condition. She was abrupt, uncaring, and dismissive. I would never willingly see her again or recommend her to another patient.

August 13, 2012

Dr Wang was great

August 13, 2012

She told me that there was no treatment other than surgery without looking at my hand or at the x-rays (at least within my presence.) I had to ask her to actually look at it, and I felt dismissed.

August 06, 2012

The doctors were very competent, friendly, and caring. I had a very positive experience.

July 30, 2012

The best care I have ever had in a medical facility.

July 24, 2012

Good job was done by all.

May 17, 2012

When I got the referral to see Dr Wang I was advised that she is really good in what she does, witch is thrue , but she is very short with patient,

April 18, 2012

All is well. I enjoy this clinic.

April 04, 2012

When asking how she would be able to tell him my injury was healed she replied with, Oh, it will heal. Since it took an MRI to find the injury, my trust in, Oh, it will heal, is not to high.

March 07, 2012

just felt a little uncomfortable asking questions provider seemed rushed but she had been running a little behind before she saw me

February 23, 2012

Intelligent, efficient without hurry, useful discussion and information, sense of humor

February 10, 2012

When my wife asked whether the X-rays looked worse than the break actually was, the Dr said "that's why you aren't an orthopedic surgeon" in a VERY insulting tone and didn't explain ANTHING else about our situation other than what he planned to do and refused to discuss the course of action that we were asking about.

January 26, 2012

After surgery I felt great, blood flow in left arm and hand was evident. I expected the wounds to delay healing as a diabetic but by 3 weeks I was almost back to normal. I certainly would recommend Dr. Wang to others. She took time to explain the change in my left arm, wrist, and hand, and I felt assured all will be well in time.

January 25, 2012

i'm talking about the doctor. the asst was excellent

January 19, 2012

January 05, 2012

Didn't feel this doctor took my desire to get back into activity ASAP as serious as if it would have been a University Athlete.
