  • Rebecca Phillips, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and currently works for the University of Utah Family and Preventive Medicine Department. Her practice is based out of the Centerville Family Clinic and she also offers virtual visits. Rebecca received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Family and Human Development from Utah State University. She received her Master in Social Work from the University of Utah. Rebecca started her therapy career working with teens in residential treatment. She owned her own private practice agency in St. George, Utah, focusing on general mental health, trauma recovery, substance use recovery and domestic violence work. Rebecca also owned, with her husband, a home health, hospice and personal care agency, working mainly with the geriatric population.

    Rebecca relocated to SLC in 2019 and joined the UofU family as a Clinical Social Worker with Special Expertise with the DFPM. Rebecca focuses her work with patients in CBT, DBT and EMDR modalities. She also conducts group therapy in CBT and DBT skills. Rebecca enjoys the broad range of patients and problems encountered in family medicine working with providers in an integrated model that addresses the mind/body connection for whole-person wellness.

    Rebecca also teaches in the MSW program on-campus at the UofU. She teaches beginning therapy classes through BYU-Idaho’s online program as well. In her spare time, Rebecca likes spending time with her family, cross-stitch, quilting, reading, playing the piano and traveling to new and exciting places.
