  • Farrant Sakaguchi, MD, MS is a board-certified Family Physician. He received his bachelor of science in Biology from MIT in 2001, master of science in Bioengineering from the University of Utah in 2004, and medical degree from the University of Utah in 2008. He completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID in 2011. He completed a fellowship and masters of science in Biomedical Informatics at the University of Utah in 2014.

    Dr. Sakaguchi enjoys treating a wide scope of patients, children to adults for acute and chronic medical conditions. He partners with patients to improve their health. He performs a wide variety of in-office procedures including trigger point and joint injections, vasectomies, IUD placements, circumcisions and skin procedures. His interests include quality improvement and increasing engagement of patients in their own care, increasing patient autonomy and building patients vision and hope for healthy lives.

    Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family. His personal hobbies include reading, spending time in the outdoors hiking, biking and skiing. He is welcoming new patients.

    Dr. Sakaguchi is a wonderful physician. His communication skills are great, and he spends the time necessary to get to know his patients with genuine care and concern. You are not just a number to Dr. Sakaguchi, unlike some other helalthcare providers in the current medical environment.

    Dr. Sakaguchi was thorough in examining me for a bad sinus infection and he gave feedback throughout. He is a very good listener and took into consideration my specific situation. We discussed a course of treatment and care for now and the future. I am happy with his professional care.

He took a lot of time to explain health maintenance recommendations and placed orders to make my ability to get labs drawn efficiently with discussion and input from me. I appreciate the reminders he gave about screenings I due for.
