My only frustration was that this appointment was for a medication refill for an anti-depressant as a new patient, and had to gather a lot of information that didn't even have anything to do with her condition. This was so frustrating, and a pain! Especially since we had to wait a month to be seen, and her meds were quickly needing a refill.

I had a good experience. Dr. Nimer was very professional, and his staff was great. He was very non-judgemental, paid close attention to detail, and very willing to help. Which I appreciated tremendously. I would definitely recommend him to anyone because I've been to 3 other doctors at the South Jordan clinic, and he's the best, so don't waste your time anywhere else.

UofU Patient
October 24, 2016
Because of the time waited for both recent appointments, I'm considering changing my primary care provider. My appointments are usually during my work day, so it's difficult enough to get out for those. The PA/nurses are always very apologetic, but that doesn't change the wait time.

I expressed concern in swallowing my meds with my strep infection, although he prescribed some antibiotics & lidocaine I still had excruciating pain trying to swallow anything from the back of my mouth to the very bottom of my throat. I calld back into the office explaining my problem & asked them if there was anything eyes they could suggest. (I told the phone person I didn't want to take pain pills, but wanted to know if they had any utter suggestions).I received a call back at 4pm (I originally called at 12:45). both somers & the pa said they don't prescribe pain pills gor strep!! My concern want addressed - I know they're is other stuff that they can do like an oral medicine or a different throat numer to help swallow, it's been done in the past with past strep infections.

Dr Nemier felt really bad that he could not tell me what to do with the cyst on my hand, but did refer me to another Dr. I appreciated the fact that he was honest and did not try and drain it if he has not sure it would be the right thing to do.

UofU Patient
January 07, 2016
I had the most amazing experience with PA Nimer. If it were possible I would ask for him to be my PCP. He was really caring, showed empathy, understood my concerns, respected my opinions and tried his utmost to comfort me. I have never had such a great experience with a healthcare professional as I did with him. I have had other doctors reduce me to tears by being insensitive and uncaring, he was the exact opposite of that.

UofU Patient
January 06, 2016
Matt was absolutely wonderful, he worked me in to his full schedule and still spent time explaining to me my medical concern.

UofU Patient
August 10, 2015
I thought Dr. Nimer was wonderful. He spent way more time with me than I expected and he discussed things with me like one friend to another, but simultaneously with professionalism and expertise.

UofU Patient
July 17, 2015
Because my previous PCP left the University, this was the first time seeing Nimer. He was very thorough. I never felt rushed as I had always been with my previous provider. Because Nimer spent time listening to my concerns and doing an overall check up, he may have discovered an issue with my heart that was previously over looked. I appreciate his genuine interest and care for my health.

UofU Patient
July 14, 2015
My physician's assistant was very warm and caring. He looked very young, I feel more comfortable around someone older because of my age. Matt Nimer could NOT have been nicer however or seem more caring. He was very companionate and caring

UofU Patient
July 13, 2015
Was quite nervous about this appointment since it was the first time seeing Matthew Nimer. I had established care with Dr. Poor at this clinic who has left since left the practice. Matthew put me at ease quite quickly and established an atmosphere of trust. He also followed up on some concerns of mine and made referrals to a specialty clinic based on those concerns. I really felt like he allowed me to be involved in my care rather than just direct it himself.

UofU Patient
June 25, 2015
I thought the doctor was excellent and had a great bed side manner. I was made to feel like a real person not just a patient

UofU Patient
June 23, 2015
Matthew is very informative and takes the time to answer all my questions. He was great at showing concern during times of discomfort during my procedure and talking me through what was happening.

UofU Patient
June 16, 2015
Matthew was amazing. He answered all of my questions and concerns in clear terms. He went over all treatment options but let me decide on the outcome on my own. He advised that he is not experienced in the procedure I am having and gave me the option of choosing a different provider or allowing him to do it with the aid of a supervisor.

UofU Patient

UofU Patient
March 21, 2015
I hate going to the Dr. and avoid it until I can't handle my symptoms any longer, it was a breath of fresh air to find a Dr. that listened and even could joke around a little bit to help break the ice...I feel like he listened and really wanted to figure things out for me.

UofU Patient
March 19, 2015
He used his best guess about what was wrong with my arm and gave me some things to try. I was unclear on when I should follow up if it doesn't improve.

UofU Patient
March 12, 2015
Matt was fantastic! I loved how he took his time talking to me about something a lot of physicians might just rush through.

UofU Patient
March 10, 2015
Excellent, He wanted me scheduled a 40mins appt to figure out what was going on, and he was their to listen to my needs to help me out as his patient

UofU Patient
March 09, 2015
I have never felt so dismissed and condescended to as a patient. He made it very clear that my issue was insignificant to him and that as a result there wasn't anything he was going to do to really help.

UofU Patient
March 09, 2015
Matt took the time to go speak with a provider in the OBGYN department to make sure that he was making the right decision regarding my daughter's condition since it involved more of their specialty. I love that he took the time to do this to make sure my daughter was given proper care. He is awesome

UofU Patient
March 09, 2015
dr. nimer is hands down the most personable and caring dr. i've seen in a long long time. he actually listened to me and considered all of my medical history in trying to determine what is going on with my leg. it has been an issue for quite a few years, and hopefully it will finally be resolved. i'm very appreciative he took the time to go over everything with me.

Went in for an infected thumb. He drained the puss, but didn't bandage it, recommended that I go home and do that. I thought it odd to leave the office with an open wound. Also went for a cough I've had since October. He offered some reasons for the lingering cough, but never listened to my lungs. Odd.

UofU Patient
May 17, 2014
I have very high expectations when it comes to health care, especially health care offered by a high-caliber institution like The University of Utah. Matt Nimmer's care did not disappoint. He had a great bedside manner, effectively diagnosed my condition and helped find a solution with input from me. I can't imagine what more you could want in a health care provider from the excellent care that Matt delivered.

UofU Patient
May 11, 2014
Dr. Nimer always does a great job! and his staff is always very kind as well! I love this office, as much time as I have been needing to spend at the doctors lately I am glad it's with Dr. Nimer and his staff. they are very helpful, show concern and have a lot of knowledge about every problem I am faced with. I am thankful to have a doctor that works hard but still focuses on his patients. I always feel comfortable and well taken care of.

UofU Patient

I travelled 30 mins to get to the clinic when my previous pediatrician is 6 min away. It was my first time there and was extremely impressed with Matthew Nimer. He was excellent! I'll definitely be returning to have him care for my 4 kids and mom and dad also

UofU Patient
April 20, 2014
I don't think I will ever schedule another appointment with your PA, Matt. He didn't seem to have concern for my illness. I understand that it very well may have been a "virus" that needs to run it's course, but he didn't seem to have much understanding for what type of virus it was, and what the normal progression of symptoms might be for my illness. I felt horrible during the office visit, and I really don't think the PA or the MA knows how to relate to patient's that are actually sick when they are visiting the clinic.

UofU Patient
April 14, 2014
Excellent care provider, addressed all my concerns and took his time. Didn't make me feel like he was trying to get to his next patient. I really trust his opinion and care.

UofU Patient

Matt Nimer took time and effort to figure out our best next steps in identifying the source of my pain/complaint. He included me in his thought process and asked appropriate questions to come to a solution.

UofU Patient
March 30, 2014
Almost chided me for following directions a prior provider had given 2 days before, as hr disagreed. Despite my common ailment, it was the first time I had been diagnosed with it. Gave very little info on it.

I always enjoy my visits with Matthew Nimer, PA. He is concerned and caring. Very professional.

UofU Patient

UofU Patient

I was very happy with the treatment I received from Matt Nimer. He took his time and made sure that we were on the same page as far as treatment, cost, etc. He was very honest. I have already told several friends about the positive experience I had at my visit.

UofU Patient

I appreciated the PA's information about the prescription medication that I was about to use since it was a new prescription..

UofU Patient
November 11, 2013
My experience with this PA was the best experience I've had at the South Jordan Clinic. For the first time, I feel like I received quality care instead of quick snapped out questions and answers from a dr. trying to rush from one patient to the next. I've never had a regular primary care physician for this reason, but now I plan to always return to this PA for future care. I liked how personable Matthew was and that he seemed to care about the problems I was having and tried to make suggestions for some things I could try. At no point did I feel that he was trying to wrap things up quickly to get to the next person - I felt like I was his number one concern. I think that's what a good Dr/PA should do.

UofU Patient
November 11, 2013
I enjoyed my experience with Dr. Nimer so much, I will recommend him if I have a friend who is looking for a doctor. He was very attentive and concerned about my needs.
