Aaron D. Campbell, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, UT, and completed a sports medicine fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. In addition, he has completed a fellowship with the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. Currently, Dr. Campbell is studying personal training. He incorporates sports medicine into daily practice with active individuals and in team physician roles as well as primary care orthopedics for chronic disease in treatment, prevention and monitoring musculoskeletal issues. “Healing minds and healing bodies, I concern myself with listening to the patient, addressing the primary issues and educating on important health points during our encounters. Ensuring the patient understands the problem allows both the physician and the patient to identify goals and establish a treatment plan. Once established with me, patients will have a more complete and updated health record. This will allow timely and focused health promotion and prevention, treatment of any acute seasonal or activity-based issues, and management.”

Dr. Campbell is great. He is a really dynamic doctor committed to patient care and advocacy. I appreciate that he always spends so much time with me during an appointment. I had a friend with me and she said he would be awesome in Park City (where she lives) as the people there would really appreciate how bright and personable he is.

I am frustrated with Dr. Campbell, he hasn't been very much help to me on a few different occasions. He just glosses over the problem or passes it on to someone else. I feel like for being a family physician he hasn't been very helpful. I wanted to stay with one that has access to my chart info since i'm dealing with multiple health problems, but now i'm not so sure

Dr. Campbell showed genuine kindness and empathy! He was so sweet to my daughter and talked to her in terms she could understand. He included her and I in the care plan. I couldn't have asked for a better experience in a healthcare facility!!

Dr. Aron Campbell exceeds my expectations as a Healthcare provider! Dr. Campbell is professional, personable and very caring! Recently, I moved here from another state and was quite concerned about finding a new, smart and kind physician...Dr. Campbell is absolutely WONDERFUL! I have great confidence in my health care with him as my primary physician!

Second visit was outstanding - Dr. Campbell went through all of my results, what they meant, and what I/we needed to do to improve areas that needed improvement. Preliminary (first) visit was a little more perfunctory, because there was nothing much other than standard background to discuss.

Provider was friendly and nice with my son and his cousin cause they were being kinda rowdy so that was nice,...but I think it made me feel like we were being seen by a college football player not a physician. He was not super professional all the time. And he kept banging the mouse on the board, like a neurotic tick the entire time he was in the room with us. He was very informative with the medical problem at hand and offered additional information regarding my sons care and followup when I inquired. He seemed impatient to get out of the room which was definitely apparent when he didn't want to wait for my visit summary to print and with his back turned away from me he pointed to the printer and said "that paper is for you when it prints" and then walked out. Then a MA was not available to buddy wrap my sons finger and he came back in seemingly annoyed that he had to be the one to do it. but he gave me the entire roll of coban so that was a bonus.

Poor "bedside manner". Not friendly at all. Seemed to be in a hurry. Just seemed to be going through the motions without showing concern. Got out the light to look at my throat & waved it past my face without even looking at my throat! I did not even have my mouth open at the time! Belittled me when asking questions & I almost walked out! Did not wash his hands. Did not keep me informed when he checked my lungs, etc as to the results. Worst uncaring doctor I have even been to & will not go back to him. He needs to slow down, have sincere concern, wash his hands, introduce himself, be friendly, & show respect for my feelings. He needs to be there for the patients (sincerely) NOT the pay!!! Very disappointed!

My initial reaction to the visit was negative. The doctor never smiled, so I interpreted most of his comments negatively. When I thought about it, I realized he wasn't demeaning, he just has a clipped style. He was also having back pain, so it may have affected him. The reason I wouldn't recommend him is that most of the people in my world have some discomfort about medical visits, and this doctor is not great at making you feel welcome. I do have great confidence in his knowledge and intelligence, however.

September 17, 2014
I will not be returning to this doctor. He made it an effort to make me feel as dumb as possible for having my labs checked at my place of employment. No matter what i said he made me feel as if he is he professional and i am stupid. I was not satisfied with the way I was treated. I was insulted.
UofU Patient
September 14, 2014
Dr. Campbell was stressed and rushed, but kind, he must have had some emergency to run to, the way he cut me off and threw his partial diagnosis at me. He did not address what to do to heal my wrist or elbow, only my whiplash. I respect his opinion and treatment, he just didn't have time to address my long term issues that haven't healed. When I take the time to book an appt. and spend the money and time for a "Family Practice" Dr. and it is my 1st appt with him, I would have thought he would want to have a more comprehensive 1st visit. My chronic pain was not even addressed. Just my whiplash, and I was sent home left hanging..

Dr. Campbell Treated me like an old friend. He acted pleased to see me when he walked through the door and remembered details about me in a way that displayed that he genuinely cared about me as a person and not just a patient. Dr. Campbell is the most thorough and considerate family physician I have ever been to. The care provider was good. My diagnosis was straightforward: strep throat, which he found from a rapid strep test. The only reason I most likely would not recommend this care provider to others is simply because it was a very easy diagnosis based on a very easy lab test and it was nothing extraordinary that any doctor could not perform. My associates could get this rapid strep test at any doctor's office and no recommendation would be needed.

I thoroughly enjoyed how much attention Dr. Campbell gave to me. He was very willing to listen and talk with me about my health and the key word was listen. Didn't seem to want to just feed me information and tell me what to do, but rather collaborated with me to decide what would be better for me and my health. everyone was wonderful until the Doctor came in. I felt he was in a rush to deal with us and get out. I understand that he deals with people from all intellectual levels, however I feel he spoke to me as if I was unable to understand the simplest of terms. He has treated my older daughter (21 years old) and was fully aware I have other children. His explanation of how to treat a cold/flu was insulting. I don't rush off to the Doctor over every little ache or pain my children feel, and we have gone to this clinic for years. This was not a normal way we have been treated here.

We were asked to make a list of our top three concerns, and by the end of the visit, the only one that had been addressed was the number 3 option, the least priority. He did not take ownership of the problems pressing by providing short term solutions (meds) to try until we could meet with a specialist, nor did he refer us for a specialist. He refused to do so until labs returned and a follow visit was completed. My pain was not addressed at all.

He seemed to do a very thorough exam of my sprained thumb, testing it in problem 10 different ways, seemed very knowledgeable, explained the situation clearly and presented options.
In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities including climbing, skiing, cycling, and running. With his family, he likes cooking, eating healthily, home maintenance and gardening.
