Dr. Hewes completed her fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Medical Center and joined the staff as an Assistant Professor. Her academic interests include EMS for children, disaster medicine, integrating ultrasound technology into the pediatric emergency medicine setting, childhood violence and injury prevention, and international medicine.

She completed a residency in pediatrics from the University of Utah and served as a chief resident. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Medical Center and joined the staff as an Assistant Professor.
